Marwile watches SAO Part 17: "What was the point?" · 10:00pm Jul 13th, 2018
I feel like I developed a dull apathy for this show in less than twenty episodes. Must be some kind of record. The next episodes might change that.

Confused about the episodes today? Don't be. Well, maybe, but I will explain it. Originally, I published "Episode 60 - Life Lessons" on schedule. However, within two hours I made changes after a report about the length. It was over 18,000 words, which is short for a printed book, but long for scrolling through on an electronic device. And it made finding your place without pages very difficult. So, I broke it up into three:
Episode 60 - Life Lessons
Episode 61 - Of Crabs and Commanders
During the last week I watched Alternate Gun Gale Online and SAO Abridged and read more than half of Gunsmoke by Wanderer D. The latter two are great examples that you can make great things out of SAO's world and the first one shows potential (mostly because it's written by a different person if I saw right). To be honest, I'm not sure I can go back to this after Abridged.
It's been a busy month, in between the Writeoffs and the new $16 million grant at work and actually getting a new story published for once. I did, however, have some time to deploy my minions on an important brand recognition mission.
Yes this was totally a productive use of my time. Shut up.\
Note bi-ish flag behind Luna. Totally accidental.
Another day means more progress.
Beat the second gym. Whiped twice again. That Herdier and Watchog was some piece of work!
Got my first couple of evolutions. First Lillipup into my own Herdier and it looks so cool. Then NAHASH evolved into Servine which looks... Stupid to be honest. But I know the final evo is awesome. And lastly AMETHYST evolved into Liepard!
With the recent occurrence of the thirteenth Doctor’s accidental kidnapping of her companions bringing up some conversations on how almost all of the companions had been kidnapped to some degree, I thought I would make a little graph of how much each of the companions had to be kidnapped before they chose to keep traveling with the Doctor. Companions to the left were less kidnapped than companions to the right.
Okay, so I've been feeling a need to blog about SOMETHING, and as right now the only interesting things to blog about are Trump's latest acts of stupidity and his ongoing war with Congress, which reading about will all just give us a big fat headache, found something funny for you to see instead. So, I'd like you to meet this guy.
Yeah, that's what you do. Shame, wasted a perfectly good guitar there though...
Guess I now have to find the time to add the new formatting tags to all my poetry; publish three stories that are now literally otherwise inaccessible; re-commission my avatar to fit the ugly circle thing; figure out how the new rich text paste interacts with Scrivener and/or whether the BBCode updates broke Scrivener’s already tenuous BBCode support; and discover what else broke and/or changed.
Displaced fics are stoopid.
So I made one that wasn't stoopid. It's just terrible. Terribly tragic. And there's a whole paragraph about buttcheeks.
Yeah, it's another one of those weekends where I'm moving Stalk Me While I Write to Saturday instead of Sunday. This Sunday is the Gallifrey One staff meeting (not the earlier week, like I'd thought), so Tale Weaver and I are making an appearance to meet our new ConOps master boss.
Brain: Haha, Pharynx x Discord is an interesting ship, wouldn’t you say?
Me, through gritted teeth as I start jotting down ideas: Yep, very interesting indeed—
IN WHICH I TALK MUSIC
As many of my longtime readers know, I am (or was) a musician, and I love incorporating song references into my stories, especially the Burritoverse. As I was working on one of my Sunset Shimmer stories, I realized one of my favourite tunes from an album I enjoy really fits where/how I envision her:
So, this will most likely become my very first and my very last blog on this here site and if you choose to keep on reading then you will hopefully soon enough realize why (and no - I'm not going anywhere).
Today was a good day. I snagged a screenshot when I had the chance. 😃
Thank you all. Balance has been restored. 👏
I have one qualm though. One. 👆
This happened on July 29th. 😬
July 29th, 2017. 🤢
And not. 😨
July 28th, 2017. The big day. The return to form of modern cinema. 😩
I may be pleased but I'm still disappointed. 😂
So those of you who read my stuff may have noticed a certain link in the description of my latest story. This leads directly to the Right Back At It Again! 2020 Shipping Competition, a contest hosted by FamousLastWords. The goal of the contest was to write about a ship that was popular during the early seasons of the show, these spanning 1-4.
Well, I gave it a shot, and here are the results:
Yep, it's my birthday! 🍰 (Oh, who am I kidding with that cake emoji... 🍸)
First off, the next chapter of The Iron Horse is going up today, in the early evening! And after that, there are just TWO chapters left!
