IN WHICH I TALK MUSIC
As many of my longtime readers know, I am (or was) a musician, and I love incorporating song references into my stories, especially the Burritoverse. As I was working on one of my Sunset Shimmer stories, I realized one of my favourite tunes from an album I enjoy really fits where/how I envision her:
That is the song "Walk Out" from Matthew Sweet's 1995 album 100% Fun, which I bought at the independent record store here in [redacted] last summer and loved.
I became familiar with Sweet when his songs showed up in the original comic version of Oh My Goddess!, one of my favourite manga of all time. The guy is a massive cartoon geek and loved anime before it got popular, so when the translator of OMG encountered a chapter that used Carpenters' lyrics (Richard Carpenter is infamously stingy with rights), he called up Sweet and asked if some of Sweet's songs could be used as a substitute, and of course Sweet agreed. IIRC, he let Studio Proteus use his lyrics for either free or a pittance because he liked the series.
I can't recall if Sweet is one of the artists I used for dialogue in A Day In The Park. I don't think so. But he will definitely get referenced in my next Recovery Arc story, and I'm sure I'll find a way to work him into the Burritoverse as well.
Well, that's all for now. Sorry for another short post. I'd better get back to work -- I have two stories to write and a crude map to draw.
Peace out!

I reflexively tried to like this blog post...
Really like your series(es?) and your blog style too. Really speaks to me. Your taste in music is also pretty nice and I may have just found a new artist to listen to. Thanks! (also that is a very nice guitar and tone there. You accidentally gave me gear envy towards a video)
