So I finally got around to writing a snippet that's been on my mind for the longest while, and I just bashed the whole thing out in one session.

I didn't give the comics a look until after I'd binged the series' seven seasons this time last year. They hooked me enough to read the lot, keeping me going in early 2018 until Season 8 began in March. I've done research in bits and pieces since, gathering people's opinion on them, and it's certainly interesting.

I've been pretty quiet recently. I know I promised that I would make a sequel to Void Trials and I'm still doing that.
But life had intervened, I recently have an apprenticeship (last year I had 24 hours to myself every day), which I had to get used to and the first weeks have been really squashing my ability to write afterwards.

On the positive, I AM getting used to it now, but I further delayed writing Void Trials as a side project pulled me away for a while.

I remembered there was something named "the children of Nightmare" mentioned in the time war, and I got an idea for a story about nightmare moon being a survivor of the great time war.

This is story concept based on that idea.

The Nightmare was that entity. It ran away from the center of the time war and landed on Equestria.

Nightmare, just like most doctor who’s villains, was an entity incapable of feeling some emotion that humans and ponies could, such as empathy, love, etc.

I promised that once the Griffon Kingdom arc of Midnight Rising was finished, I would try to do a single chapter of Continuation and Chronicles before working on Nightmare Night. So here we go.
