I've been quite distracted lately by work and other things, as some of you know, and my desire to write has been low because of it. I've also got an exploratory knee procedure coming up in two Mondays, to see if I can finally solve the leftover pain and stiffness remaining in the joint after I had torn cartilage removed from it last December. Went to Nightmare Nights Dallas this past weekend. This was the last year for the convention.

Why have all the cons down south shut down? Fiesta Equestria, Derpycon South, and now Nightmare Nights?! Are there more that I don't know about?!

As of this morning, I've written another 17k words of NN content, 11k of which are contained in two completed chapters. They have already been received very well by my first prereader, though admittedly I wrote what he liked the most as a bit of a gift and thank-you to him. I was reviewing the draft of the first Gilda chapter this morning, and decided it needed a great deal more fleshing out, including adding names and at least brief bios of certain supporting characters, as well some extra spice in the form of additional sexiness. So that's what I'm doing, meaning you're going to be getting a bigger and hopefully better chapter out of it.

I have noticed, if that the more clop-heavy a chapter is, the more reads but fewer comments it tends to garner. That's been the pattern across all my stories, pretty much, with the possible exception of Midnight Rising. Might be a bit of risky area.
I don't think I'd have that much sexual content and even then, all the swears will be replaced by equivalents.
But basically, all three of the Knights would be carving through a plentiful amount of serial-rapist flesh in the name of Luna.

I'm still pecking away at the new Nightmare Night chapter, which is now nearly 10k words and will probably be upwards of 12k when all is said and done. Since I'm not finished with it yet, the Sunday release will probably slip. On the bright side, I have a three-day weekend, so there'll be plenty of time to work on it.

Sometimes, I feel like I'm spreading myself far too thin. That I'm being far too ambitious, and not putting enough time into thinking about what the impacts of what I do ultimately will be.

It's nights like tonight where I feel like I have to take a step back, and look at what I'm doing. What I've been doing. Is it still worth doing? For what reasons am I doing it? What impact does it have on me? Or on those around me?

It's like I'm trying to be multiple people at once.
