Yes, I am still alive! My inactivity has been due to college and this game called Overwatch. But don't worry, it's mostly been college.
So, I have a short story (6 chapters long) in the works. It's about Starlight's techniques in convincing ponies to join her cult. I have quite a bit of it written thus far. Here's a part of the prologue:
As the title implies, I wrote a new short story! What's that, two in one year? That's better, right? This is REALLY short one involving Diamond Tiara and Silver Spoon, so if you wanna read whatever that is, it shouldn't take you much time at all! So go nuts if you'd like.
"Ahh," I sighed. "It's a beautiful day here in Maretime Bay." The sun was shining brightly, and things were going smoothly. Of course, there was that unicorn attack just yesterday, but that doesn't matter to me much. I'm just here to enjoy the sunshine, and breathe the crisp morning air, and-
"Who are we?"
"We're an angry mob!"

It's a short story. No one should be surprised.
Here he comes, the plume of dust rising over the red, rocky hills like smoke. Is it smoke? He can’t be sure.
It could be smoke, but that’s nothing new either.
It’ll work, this time.
He crouches behind a pillar, ragged and worn by age and weather and explosives; he has made his stand here many times before. He has made it many more times in many other places all across the desert, so at least he isn’t getting predictable, exactly.
As I was rummaging my computer and finding countless drafts and concepts, I came across a story that was actually COMPLETELY finished back in 2015! I just never posted it. I read through it, and figured out that I likely didn't do it because it wasn't particularly compelling or interesting, but I feel it's at least a little bit amusing, so I leave it here for anyone to read if they want. Enjoy!

Applejack carried her bucket of apples through the woods. She continued walking, until she passed by a nearby lake. She got caught up in her reflection that she accidentally dropped her bucket of apples into the lake. “Oh no, no, no, no, no!” She looked into the lake, watching the bucket sink to the bottom. She sighed, sitting down.
Then, the water started glowing. She backed up. “What the..?”
Before she knew it, a mare raised out of the lake. She stared in disbelief. “Who are you?”
