It's funny having the same birthday as Friendship is Magic. Everyone's excited, just not for me.

It's especially funny to turn thirty. In the "mad, nervous laughter that speaks of fraying sanity and draining adrenaline as you hide from the monster" sense. Still, my family assures me that the thirties are almost always better than the twenties, so we'll see if that's the case.

I finished writing Chapter 34 so I thought I'd upload this. I just need to get a few edits done for Chapter 34 and keep writing while I have this wave of inspiration and self-confidence so I can get this story where it should have been weeks ago.

I feel crazy... I can actually write coherent chapters again... It's like when I had the inspiration for The Lost Garden...

So I settled and downloaded Microsoft Word instead!

Now I can write again!

It's super comfortable...

Doesn't look wonky....

And totally didn't take me over an hour to stumble through the odd set-up options, just go end up with janky looking spacing with my paragraphs....

Trying to do a story a day for a little bit, just to stretch some muscles. I do a lot of longform iterative stuff, and I sincerely believe you learn more from finishing a piece than anything else. So, I'll be trying to finish a lot of things very quickly, to get better practice in at weaknesses I can already identify - commitment, consistency, and idea generation - and going back over them later to see strengths and other weaknesses I need to focus on better.
