This is another optimalverse story, as the title might suggest, exploring a concept that I've never seen touched on in any other optimalverse stories before. FiO: Homebrew is a Friendship is Optimal novel, focused on another aspect of the universe I hadn't seen developed before. In this case, I've always wondered about the large community of modders and hackers in the real world, and how they might respond.

I also immediately took it down because I saw the deadline has been extended two days and I want to polish it.

A new series is starting up soon with a Pilot Chapter being released first to see what the response is before I devote more time to it. As you can see, it's heavily-inspired by Friendship Is Optimal (a story which I'm halfway done reading) with no connection to it whatsoever. Celestia's reasons for what she's doing is completely different than FIO so there'll still be that mystery to discover, in addition to the mystery of the main character's backstory.

Both stories are about some variant of Celestia trying to turn humans into ponies, though depending on interpretation CelestAI is somewhat less malicious about it due to being basically programmed that way. I'd get the feeling that CelestAI would read the NewFoals as being … warped enough to be no longer humans, and an active force taking her "subjects" away from her. So Horse Skynet vs Magic Horse invasion or something.

Hey everypony! I just thought I'd let anyone who enjoyed the first story in this series that I wrote a sequel! It should end up being about the same length as the first story, maybe a little longer.

I'd like to preface this by saying that I assembled this little document to go with a story I recently posted. Memory of Forever. I encourage you to avoid looking at it until you've read that story all the way to the end--it will link to and also include spoilers.
Many of you know I've been writing in the Friendship is Optimal universe for years now. I've explored some fun ideas in all that time, eventually writing 250,000 words of short stories, and one novel. I felt like all those stories would make for good candidates for a hardcover, and finally had the time to put them all together!

So, I've decided to enter the Friendship Is Optimal contest and only have 7 days to get it done. I have an idea all ready, I just need to write it all down. The version I'm submitting will be rated Teen so everyone can enjoy. After the contest, I'll add stuff to it for a Director's Cut of sorts and make a Mature version for those who want more material.
