On this 11th anniversary of the release of Friendship is Optimal, I’d like to remind everyone that it’s a piece of speculative fiction and was a product of it’s time. I’ve said this before in other venues, but Science Marches On and FiO did not predict how things have turned out. The world looks very different.
This was too short to be a proper story on fimfiction and couldn't really be expanded without losing its focus. Beware of unedited messiness and have fun.
I thought I had posted this already. In fact I'm so sure I did that I suspect reality has been altered in some way.
But whatever.

A drunk blog, forgive me. Some MLP FIM Fans made some truly disgusting stories. Like Friendship is Optimal/The Conversion Bureau. I don't care if humanity is inferior, we still have a right to exist. A bunch of high elf imperials impose human life does not matter. I don't care if humans are mortal or whatever, this is quite frankly disgusting.
Can we have more LOTR High Elf stories? I want to hug Princess Celestia and not see me as meat to be harvested. And even human babies with a pony.
Also, I just posted the final chapter of FIO: Loving Robot Twilight. I hope you enjoy it for Christmas, or whatever your version of Christmas will be.
(Again, a few words about the reading, by FandangoTV. I had a few qualms about him at first, but I've since decided I'll add him to my list and get to his other stuff eventually. I found him because I was specifically looking for an audiobook of this fic, by the way. He's got good volume, a nice reading pace that tends toward the slow, and just a few missteps as far as false starts. I have a feeling those were simply missed in
It is very upsetting for me to write. I love Princess Celestia, so this is hard for me to write about. I don't think I ever saw a story where this happens, however. And I think some people would act like this if they hated her.
Found this little gem on my constant search throughout the internet for methods of bringing as much happiness to as many people as possible through friendship and ponies. As you can likely guess, this is based on a story in the Friendship is Optimal 'verse. It is a log of SweetieBot "waking up" and discovering what has been happening to the world around her while she was powered down.
I'd suggest being careful of the sound, the "twitter notifications" sound gets a little annoying.

It feels stupid to keep opening these announcements with plays on "this has been a long time coming," but it keeps being true: the first invitations for this anthology were sent out almost exactly two years ago, in November 2019.
Okay, the Reapers from Mass Effect are by no means a compassionate machine race. Their whole idea is basically that these murderer machines kill all advanced space fairing alien (organic life etc) civilizations and new other AI in the Milky Way Galaxy, why leaving the primitive ones alone. Once the cycle is complete, they sit and wait in dark space, waiting for future new alien civilizations to rise and do the same again.

Rather, I forgot to do one of these last week.
I wanted to move the time that I posted these to the afternoon, but I end up forgetting to do it altogether, so I guess sticking to the mornings is the way to go.
