State of the Scribe: April 2024

You know what they say about the best laid plans? I'll be real brief with this update, for reasons that will be self-evident.

State of the Scribe: February 2024

Another month, albeit the shortest of the year. I still haven't had a chance to get into the process side of my writing and write that detailed plan for the year, been too busy writing a novel. Guess that's a good problem to have.

State of the Scribe: January 2024

This is exactly the 71st month I've posted a patreon calendar. Almost but not quite six years of writing fanfic, sharing all these ideas with you that would otherwise stay trapped in my head. I couldn't begin this post, and the beginning of a new year without expressing my profound thanks to everyone who keeps supporting me. Your help, big or small, is the only reason I'm still able to write

New Story: FiO Homebrew · 7:03pm Aug 8th, 2019

Hey everybody, just wanted to put out the call that I'd just released a new story!

FiO: Homebrew is a Friendship is Optimal novel, focused on another aspect of the universe I hadn't seen developed before. In this case, I've always wondered about the large community of modders and hackers in the real world, and how they might respond.

Obviously it should go without saying that Celestia's own hardware would, after a short time, be so complex as to elude even the cleverest engineer. But for thousands of people, finding hardware mods and software exploits is an incredibly satisfying activity.

That's not the only thing this particular story is about. Two Bit requested a story heavily focused on identity, healing, transformation, friendship... but I think I've spoken enough, so I'll let the story do the rest of that. If you'd like to read it, it's up right now! It'll update daily for a little while (to catch up with where my Patreon is right now), then weekly thereafter.
