last night, i was dabbling a bit with fractures again. i was finally making a decision on how I wanted the story to end, despite said story only having about 1.5 chapters written so far across over three years of existence.

I'm cutting away a bunch of undergrowth on the hillside behind our house (making room for a garden, getting more sun on the pool, getting the back deck to feel less cramped...), and the easiest way to deal with what I cut down seems to be a burn pile. Thing is, some of these plants I can't identify, and I'm wary of burning them without knowing that, because I'm well aware that some plants can produce toxic smoke.

It took some time, and to be honest, I didn't expect to get to this point. I have completed the entirety of Changeling Theory's first act with an astounding eight chapters. The word current count rounds-up to 40,000 words total, which is the most I've written in a story thus far. That said, there is much more on the way. It was awesome! I think it could have more dinosaurs, because great part of the movie focus on people. But Blue and Rex team up to end with Indominus was... AMAZING. Best part, 'nuff said. Also the Mosasaur part was amazing too when watching in 3D. BTW, I learned that: Blue is best dinosaur.

Yes, that's right I'm talking about Yu-Gi-Oh! this time around, in particular the Duel Disk system. Go online and type in "holographic duel disk" and you'll probably get a few hits on people trying to make real world hologram systems for duel disks, but that's probably going to draw more power than most of us would like, it would differently make the tournament scene look and feel like something out of the show, but for everyday duels it seems a bit of a waste of energy.
