did some doodling since i've been (slowly) working on my Fractures project. Gotta say, these turned out waaaaaaay better than I thought they would considering how relatively inexperienced I am with any sort of drawing.
was originally gonna release it on offprint, but it appears that there are still issues with story claiming/approval there right now.
so.
I'll be releasing Fractures firstly here on Fimfiction, as a chapter of What If much like previous story pitches (albeit in this case the full story will eventually be linked elsewhere). It will also be posted as a blog post here at the same time.
Alongside this, I'm also thinking of dropping the first chapter on Tumblr as well in the meantime.
Fractured Sunlight is now marked complete, and all twenty-five chapters have been uploaded to fimfiction.
For all of you who have had the story sitting on your read later list, now’s your chance to binge the whole thing in one sitting, without having to deal with any of those pesky cliffhangers I made everyone else suffer with.

Yep, it's that time, folks.
I don't know if I'd entirely say the story is perfect, but if I want to release it before Friendship Games comes out and steals all the thunder from human Twilight, then I don't have much of a choice. More time would be nice, but editors only have so much time to work on it.
The first chapters have receieved a lot more polishing, in any case, and chapters will be published on a 1/week schedule, so the editing will still be able to keep up.

what if my mlp take on fractures is an eqg fic?
i don't think I've ever actually written a fic that primarily features the equestria girls world. like, yeah I've done cameos and such here and there but at least personally without going back to check I don't remember any story where there's much emphasis placed on that parallel world.
i think I've got a bit of an idea on how I could spin things 🤔🤔🤔
For the past couple days, for whatever reason, all of the imgur links to the images in Fractured Sunlight were broken. I hoped the problem would fix itself, so it didn't, so I reuploaded everything to imgbox and changed all the links to match.
It should hopefully be working for everyone now.
Astute readers may note a slight difference in one of the pictures.
- 28247 words (in reality a little less than that due to two chapters having been rewritten along the way
- 13 chapters written
- Three in-story days have passed across these 13 chapters
- Two main perspectives have been established, with occasional additional perspectives showing up from time to time for the purpose of demonstrating side-arcs that'll become relevant later on
and by that i mean i put together some extremely basic ref sheets for Zoey and Caleb lol
For now, Fractures still only exists in its "story pitch" form while I figure out where the heck I want to take the story. Writing and rewriting the same thing for three years does that to a guy.
holy heck where'd the time go?
So. Come June 10th, I'll have been here on Fimfiction for a whole eight years. Possibly nine, if you count the time before I made my account and kept track of stories using only the favorites bar of Internet Explorer. I'm pretty sure I do in fact still have those favorited stories in my imported favorites on Chrome.
As the title says. I think I might be able to speed up the frequency of the chapter now.
