Twilight is feeling down lately then she receives an invitation for Hearth's Warming Eve celebration from Princess Celestia.

When a freak reading accident causes Twilight to be admitted to the Ponyville hospital, Rainbow Dash is right by her side. Compelled by a sense of duty and repayment, she takes it upon herself to cheer up her friend.

Twilight Sparkle has always loved star gazing. She loves watching the stars, studying them, and mapping out charts. Princess Luna knows this, and she can see it in Twilight's dreams. Luna decides that there may be a chance that the Princess of Magic could possibly return her feelings. So Luna visits Twilight one night as she is stargazing.
