Spike had watched Twilight date Rainbow Dash before eventually welcoming the pegasus into their home. Some time after that, the two mares adopted Scootaloo to join their family.

Once just friends, Spike and Scootaloo are now siblings, and they must adjust to the new changes in their lives, and most importantly, being brother and sister.

After complaining about her sore teeth, Scootaloo goes in for a check up. But does she get more than she bargained for?

Spike has fallen into a hopeless routine of rejection, given he has yet to grasp the concept of his feelings being unreciprocated by the woman of his dreams. Little does he know, his hopeless love is hurting somebody very close to him, somebody who's feelings have yet to come to light.

Scootaloo has lived alone for much of her life since her parents' passing, but no one, not even her closest friends, know of her most guarded secret. But this soon changes when a young dragon comes passing by the clubhouse one winter evening. Now, whether she likes it or not, Spike intends to do everything he can to help her. However as the temperature falls, the way these two friends see each other begins to change as well, but it is still unclear if it was indeed for the better.

A secret has been kept from Scootaloo, but she has a plan to learn the answer. She won't like the ramifications.

The following takes place in the second part of "Return of Harmony". With Rainbow Dash nowhere to be found, Spike is considered the new Rainbow Dash. Spike doesn't like this idea, especially when a certain fan finds out.

Scootaloo only wants to spend her birthday with her idol. Rainbow Dash would normally love to accommodate her, but… she doesn't want to talk about it. So nopony'd better ask.
