When Princess Luna departed for the land of the changelings only a year and a half ago, she made one fatal mistake. She put a batpony by the name of Starlight Weaver in power. Now, his high ambitions threaten all of Equestria aswell as the continent of Lionus. He is tampering with the power of the Nightmare Forces in order to make his dream of an Ultimate Lunar Republic, a world of batpony superiority over all else, a reality. Now, the armies of Equestria, New Lunar Republic and Solar Empire, stand as one to face this threat.

A World of Warcraft crossover.

Discord is an old creature, far older than the planet he calls home, thankfully coming across it in its early days as the loneliness had nearly finished eating away at what sanity he had left in his mind. Some Equestrians have a habit of disappearing. New names are being added to the registration files under the ‘missing’ category every single day for any number of reasons. For the longest time, no one cared. It's just the way life works.

However, the rate of ponies who fell prey to the disappearance within the Wooden Wicks area with no explanation was alarming to say the least.

With the locals believing they're no longer safe in their own backyard, they fear to leave from their residence in order to avoid a repeat of an unknown ‘AWOL’ case.

With no real solution in sight, Princess Celestia herself had to step in and take action. Armed with nothing else but her knowledge of the area, magic powers and a video camera, she will embark on a treacherous journey to reveal the cause of all this predicament. If she can't reveal the source, then no one can.

She'll find it, even if she must step inside the Wooden Wicks forest to do so.

The bureaus are ash, scattered to the winds. The Tyrant has fallen, and those who she enslaved, free. Those who followed willingly face justice, be it that of their fellow sapients, or that of the grave. But for one man, the trials are not over yet. He will find a wonderful, terrifying world, full of creatures that once sought the end of his kind. But something is not right. There is something about this place, something wrong. He'll survive though. Because a man without hope is nothing but a shell waiting to die.

2: There won't be much in the way of super-humans wandering the world. Those may come later, depending on which direction the story goes. The MC will mostly be exploring undercover. That being said, he still has his augments.

With Twilight's spirit broken, Discord is ensured conquest of Equestria. Celestia is helpless to stop him, but part of her selfishly yearns for the romance they shared in her youth.

UPDATE: After being challenged by Godzillafan01 to write a positive Discolestia fic, I decided to add more chapters,

After Twilight refuses the offer of a lifetime, Celestia becomes hostile towards her. Celestia being making threats against Twilight. Against the ones she cares for the most. Twilight needs to figure out what's making the Princess act the way she is, but her options are limited: Risk her life to solve the tyranny, or face the wrath of Princess Celestia. She will do whatever she can to fix Celestia. But she may have to fix herself along the way.

The title (and chapter names) of this story were inspired by Mumford and Sons "Broken Crown" and I'm gonna make that song work with this fic.

I've lived a good life, Caring Friends, Loving Family, A life of Adventure and Military service.
But as I age i look to the horizon for what comes next, I tire of the war between the Alliance and Horde
and thought retirement was what was next. Until I received Mail from an individual that only signed it SS. I was offered a chance to get away from the war and do something productive with the rest of my life.
What the hell, not like I'm doing anything important anymore.
