Rainbow Dash's dad, Blue Streak, has been lonely and sad ever since Firefly passed away. Rainbow has tried her best to cheer him up, but to no avail. It's Twilight's birthday! Pinkie gives Twilight a book on how to be Pinkie. At first dubious, Twilight becomes fascinated by the view into Pinkie's mind.

At Fancy Pants' suggestion, Fleur-de-Lis decides to explore her realms of the Canterlot life, to indulge in wonderous activities (that may or may not be risque) with her fellow gentlemares... to achieve and reinforce her own status as a near noblemare!

Actually, it's just a date with a mystery unicorn that Fancy Pants chose. Oh no.

A long time ago, in a galaxy far, far away...

The Republic is dead, and from the ashes the evil Galactic Empire has risen, with the malevolent Emperor Palpatine at its throne. Across the galaxy, Lord Darth Vader hunts down the last of the Jedi, aided by the ruthlessy efficient Stormtroopers of the 501st Legion and the Star Destroyers of the dreaded Death Squadron.

The Conclave on Kessel has failed, and the Jedi have been slain. However, Darth Vader senses something deep within the abandoned mines...

The rich, fertile, and mysterious lands of the New World lie before the United States. Following the War of 1812, for four decades the Americans have been content to expand, pushing aside Indians, rogue frontiersmen, and buying land whenever possible. This small period of expansion changes in 1850. Wagon trains start disappearing.

At first thought to be something along the lines of starvation, or Indian attacks, this results in a ban of travel to the West Coast.

Then came the 1851 incident in Freetown Texas, where the entire village simply vanished.

This, naturally did not sit well with President Fillmore, who ordered the conscription of every able-bodied male ages 18-35 to "fight off the vicious enemy". What no American can guess is that this enemy is well-entrenched, and willing to do anything to protect itself.
