Cloud Storm has finally gotten the promotion he's never wanted.
Plucked from his quiet life as a door pony and thrust into the leadership of a motley crew he must monitor the perimeter of the Everfree forest and protect the citizens of Equestria from what lurks within.
That's not his only problem though, Cloud also has to protect the small town of Ponyville from his own troop of of boisterous guards!
And just to round off his bad day, somepony has taken it upon themselves to take an unscheduled holiday to the country leaving his boss in a bad mood.

When looking for something for show and tell at school, Apple Bloom has nothing. Applejack suggests that Apple Bloom take her bow, but Apple Bloom sees nothing special about it.

Applejack tells Apple Bloom how she got her bow and how special it is.

When a freak reading accident causes Twilight to be admitted to the Ponyville hospital, Rainbow Dash is right by her side. Compelled by a sense of duty and repayment, she takes it upon herself to cheer up her friend.

Princess Celestia tires of constantly being surrounded by decorum, deference, and formality, and decides to take a day off from being Princess. But visiting Ponyville incognito is harder than she expects. Will she be able to fit in and make friends without blowing her cover?

What started as a normal friendly visit ends up taking two ponies on a trip down memory lane that leads them both to realize their friendship began even before Rainbow Dash's first sonic rainboom.

To Holmes, she was always "the mare." Whether she stole the Starry Night was perhaps beside the point. What mattered to Holmes was that he had been matched at his own game, by a mare; that it had not been altogether unpleasant; and that she had caused him, however briefly, to turn his keen and unflinching gaze upon himself.

Instead of being killed in the cold Antarctic by Dr. Manhattan, Rorschach finds himself rematerialized in a strange new, pony filled world. He finds himself drawn into the lives of the ponies of Ponyville but some ponies fear that this sociopath will bring danger and darkness to an otherwise peaceful existence.
