Rainbow Dash is pushing Scootaloo to her limits to make sure she’ll pass her flight test, which is now only a week away. Scootaloo can’t help but wonder why she’s being pushed so hard. She knows it’s important, but it’s not like it’s a life or death situation, right?

This story is a sequel to Feeding the Machine

I've been working in this place for as long as I remember, witnessing the demise of countless pegasi as their lives are innocently taken by the Pegasus Device. This has left me to constantly think about the entire aspect of this place. Why does the factory actually exist and have I finally awoken to chaos that surrounds me?

Based on "Awoken" by WoodenToaster and "The Betrayal (Act III)" by Nickelback.

The most impressive engineer in the rainbow factory was doctor Atmosphere himself. He was also head of the weather department in Cloudsdale. What he also knows, is that his clock is ticking and nearing its end. Though his life had been nothing but bloodshed and tortures. He knows his soul is tainted if not destroyed. In one last, desperate, attempt to clean his soul, he writes down all of his actions in a memoir. The truth and the brains behind the place of horrors, shall be revealed through his final, written words.

Absentia spent twenty years chained up in the bowels of the cursed Rainbow Factory. For twenty years, she never saw the outside world, left to the mercy of the Factory. But when two foals free her from the clutches of the Pegasus Device, she remembers what it means to fly. As she helps her new friends escape the facility, she has to make a choice.

She chooses to fly.

I've loved the Rainbow Factory (and its sequel) for years. Discovered the contest with only a busy week left, and while I wish I could have done more, I definitely wanted to try my hand at it!
[Some spoilers for Rainbow Factory & Pegasus Device, idk what you're doing here if you haven't read them already but you definitely should!!]

His whole life has been in that factory, working day in and day out. So long now, he cant even really remember his own name, but not any more. He will get out of the factory or die trying.

Nobody knows what went through Scootaloo’s Absentia’s mind for those twenty years she was abandoned in the main theater room. Well, only she truly knows, but perhaps it was always meant to be. Until now, that is. Enter if you dare to discover the dark secrets that have been hidden for so long.

So this is my entry into the Rainbow Factory Contest hosted by AuroraDawn themselves. It probably won’t win but what the heck, there’s a chance.
