Everyone wants to be comforted. Everyone wants to have that sensation of security and warmth. The sensation of safety. Everyone from the frail and weak to the strong and brave. Everyone.

So why not Rainbow Dash? Why can she not have the want for comfort? The urge for hugging, the need for snuggles? Why can't she desire to be hugged and nuzzled? Why can't she snuggle up with her marefriend on a rather windy spring evening? Well, what if she does? No one's stopping her! No one but herself, that is.

So a few things:

One; this is technically in the same universe as my A Hard Day & The Butterfly’s Stitch. I didn't mark this as a sequel, cause I didn't feel like it needed to be. If you feel like going and reading the first part of this, go right ahead, but if you don't, then that's well and good.

Two; if you're looking for relationship conflicts, this is not the story for you. This will be mainly of Dash and an inner conflict she'll facing throughout the fic, and the relationship is pretty much in full swing.

Twilight and her friends are going on a camping trip. However, on the way, they lose half of their sleeping bags and tents. The six friends will have to share their tents with each other.

This might not be a big deal to everypony, but for Rainbow Dash and Applejack, who share a tent and a sleeping bag together, it changes everything.

A hard, long day leads Dash to her best friend, Applejack's home, There she finds her friend in a very similar pickle. Both sit down and have a little heart to heart talk with one another; something neither prefeed doing on a normal bases. Both discus what tired them out, and how one is meant to overcome this.

A few weeks after Twilight's coronation, Rara visits Applejack to get help with her upcoming concert. The visit becomes a point of contention for Rainbow Dash, who experiences a new range of emotions during that time. Will Rainbow Dash come to terms with the fact that she feels, and may have always felt, a different kind of love for Applejack?

The truth to that question will set Rainbow Dash free. But first, she must admit it to herself.

Be ready for a lot of fluff with a dash of angst. This is a light-hearted Appledash fanfic, and I hope it becomes one of your go-to comfort reads. And this is my first Appledash fic, so please be kind :)

Applejack gets taken on a sudden flight and realizes how much she and Rainbow Dash feel for each other at a deeper level than simple love.

I spent an hour and a half writing this so no editing or whatever, just breaking the wall.
