So apparently 50 questions is a thing now? · 3:49am Oct 19th, 2020
Note: this was written in October 2020 and is current to that date.
1. What is your first name?
Not comfortable sharing that
2. How old are you? 20
3. What country are you from?
United States
4. What do you really look like?
Stereotypical Asian basic bitch nerd, though I make an active effort to subvert the stereotype.
5. What do you wish you looked like?
6. How did you come across My Little Pony?
YouTube videos. The first MLP I ever watched was a clip from Marks and Recreation, and I remember I was hella confused because the clip didn’t contain any of the Mane 6. “Who the hell are these fillies?” I remember thinking.
7. What is your favorite ship in My Little Pony and why?
Startrix. DWK convinced me.
8. What is your least favorite ship and why?
None. I think the great part about MLP is that no ship is too heavily implied (with a few exceptions), so fans are free to pair almost anyone they want, and it kinda works.
Also please, no Thorax x Ocellus. Ew.
9. Have you admitted to anyone outside of Fimfiction that you love MLP?
Yes, my mom, my 7-year-old half-brother, and a few friends.
10. Were they a family member? Yep.
11. Favorite MLP Episode?
Do Princesses Dream of Magic Sheep. I think it did a good job of showcasing the guilt one feels after doing evil, and moving past that.
12. Who is your favorite superhero?
Twilight Sparkle’s a superhero right? I mean, we all know she’s saved the world a shit ton of times.
13. Who is your favorite anti-hero?
Queen Chrysalis.
15. Favorite anti-villain?
Does cult-leader Starlight Glimmer count?
16. What was the last book you read?
If Fimfiction counts, it’s “In Colour” by Seer.
17. Last movie you watched?
I guess MLP The Movie. I don’t watch many movies.
18. What is your favorite song at the moment?
“Goodbye to Love” by The Carpenters. The Carpenters are overall a great band, and this particular song is a piece of music history: it’s the first love ballad to incorporate an electric guitar solo, in 1972.
19. What song do you always come back to?
“Despacito” is an earworm right now. Ugh.
Go listen to it so it can become your earworm as well.
20. What is your current job?
Student, studying civil engineering.
21. If this is not your final job what job do you want in the future? N/A
22. What is your dream job?
Something in structural or geotechnical engineering, probably. Soil and rocks are unironically very interesting to me.
23. At this moment in your life, what is your greatest achievement?
Learning to go outside and have fun on my own.
24. At this moment in your life, what is your greatest failure?
I think all failures have a purpose. It means that thing was not right for you and you need to find something different.
25. Do you have any pets? No.
26. What is your dream pet?
Life-size cuddle pony plushie.
27. Do you own any weapons?
No.
28. Is there a gun you really want?
Sometimes I think having a gun might be cool, but I am sensitive to loud noise so that’s a no-no.
29. What Religion are you?
New Age. I follow the Law of Attraction.
30. If you could hang out with one person in all of history who would it be?
I don't want to meet a famous person. Because then I feel like the vision I have of them as a person will be forever ruined.
31. If you could bring back one person from the dead for one day who would it be?
Can I bring back myself after I die?
32. Are you political?
I’m left-leaning. I believe a strong social safety net run by a competent administration (the competent administration is key) will help improve living conditions for everyone.
33. Are you married? No.
34. Do you have a special somepony? No I don’t fuck horses.
35. Have a crush on anyone? No.
36. Care to explain? No.
37. Do you consider yourself attractive?
People have called me attractive/handsome.
38. If you could spend one day with someone still alive who would it be?
Maybe one of my old friends from high school. I went high school in Alabama and I now live in the Northeast, so it’s really hard to stay in touch.
39. Who is your favorite pony?
Starlight Glimmy.
40. Any embarrassing secrets you would like to share?
I unironically thought “meme” was pronounced “meh-meh” until I was, oh, about 14.
41. If you have done any stories/art what is your favorite piece(s)?
Although My Sister, Cozy Glow is my most popular piece, it’s not the one I’m most proud of. I stumbled a lot through that story, and there’s a lot of writing decisions I regret making.
I’m quite proud of “just cozy glow.” I’m glad that I took my time with it (I tend to rush writing), to really create an immersive reader experience unlike anything that’s been on Fimfiction.
I’m also proud of A Rose Grows in Trottingham, which was my Season 10 Bingo Contest entry. Once again, I took my time with this story, and I think it shows. I adopted an entirely different writing style to give the feel of 19th century England. I think I really took the Bingo prompt card and turned it into something special.
42. Are you a virgin? Yes.
43. What is the craziest thing you have done in your life that you have no regrets about?
I don’t do very crazy stuff haha…! My life is pretty tame.
44. What is the craziest thing you have done in your life that you have regrets about? See above.
45. Do you have a fetish of any kind?
I have the desire to crossdress convincingly, but neither have the tools nor the motivation to put in the effort.
46. Do you regret saying this fetish? Maybe.
47. What are some of your favorite FIM stories? I admire stories that tell a lot with very little words. I like stories that aren’t what you expect. I love stories that have a deep, profound meaning under the guise of a very simple (or comical) narrative.
Here are a few of my cherry-picked favorites:
Although the plot is fairly predictable and somewhat simplistic in my opinion, the narrative structure is what makes it stand out to me. Very few writers use variation of paragraph size as a literary device, and this story uses it remarkably well.

A lot of people think shitfics require no effort. But there is actually a distinction between good shitfics and bad shitfics. The purpose of a shitfic is using its badness as a comedic device, and just like any comedic device, it can be used well or poorly.
This is a good shitfic. It checks all the boxes for a good shitfic: it’s funny, still has some semblance of a plot, and the characters’ experiences are relatable to the reader.
This story is one of my favorites simply because aristocratic Rainbow Dash is an AwesomeTM headcanon and I love to read more stories about it.
Another awesome comedy story. The title says it all. It’s got a one-liner ending gag that ties everything together so well.
A very wholesome slice of life story with pony Twilight travelling to Earth as an exchange student. A lot of great moments as the human family tries to adapt to a purple pony living in their homes. I really hope to see it updated someday.
And lastly,
I rarely impose upon people to read things, but Frasier fans, you HAVE to read this. This is definitely the best Frasier/MLP crossover ever written.
48. Favorite Quote?
One of my favorites:
“A lie, sometimes, can be truer than the truth, which is why fiction gets written.” --Tim O'Brien
49. Did you ever hurt someone’s feelings just to hurt them?
Out of anger, perhaps.
50. Did you answer these questions honestly? Yes.
Thank you to Nailah, FamousLastWords, and others for spreading the word!!!
Ooh! Very interesting info......
Looking good there, Winter Flame.

You have taste, good sir. With how heavily they were they teasing Startrix, I was legitimately surprised in the finale when it wasn't teased even more or outright confirmed.
What does this mean?
I see it more as an opportunity to get to know them more as a person, and less as just someone who's just famous and inspirational. Even if they're not as great as they seem, but who is?

Winter Flame is a cute boi that I desperately need to write more of.
The Law of Attraction is a very simple way of approaching life. Whatever you think is what you bring into your life, or "attract". Thoughts become things. That's essentially the gist of it.
Also, I was not expecting to see a fic I've written (let alone one from years ago) make a favourites list, but I'm touched. Thank you.
