small silly screenwriting thing · 4:13am Nov 21st, 2019
a co-worker, my boss, and I have a small weekly screenwriting meetup going on, and I'm supposed to deliver PAGES OF SCRIPT TOMORROW which I didn't do, so I was like I'LL JUST GRAB A FIC AND LAZILY SCRIPTIFY THAT AND THEY'LL NEVER KNOW and so I was like "guess I'll do TEL because I know it like the back of my hand so it'll be quick and easy" and--
I'm?? actually enjoying??? and am figuring out how to make into original setting??? oh no???
WOOT
GOOD LUCK MONO
INB4 we see this in the theatre.
Id watch it....
Just when I thought TEL couldn't get any more dramatic! Best of luck indeed!
Sounds like the beginning to an awesome RPG.
A number of successful original works started by boiling down fan-fiction to its essentials and re-creating it. Why shouldn’t you do likewise?
Cue ten years later "The Enchanted Library" is a Blockbuster cashing hundreds of millions with a little confused RariTwiler making confused rich noises
I like where this is going. A full first chapter would be excellent, both for kicks and for your career. Fly on, you golden girl.

I would so good and see 'tis!
I love it! Would definitely watch!

THAT'S WHAT I SAID
lol I’m probably gonna do the same thing with what would’ve been my G4.5 show sequel fic.
And with probably half a dozen published fics.
Probably.
legendary.
You where not the first no last that have rewritten a fanfics and made it cannon
This
THIS
Even with having read TEL, this is AMAZING
Oh my. Well I'm not saying it would definitely get picked up, because you know the movie industry better than me. But I AM saying that the quality is glaringly obvious from the trailer, and would be even if I knew nothing about TEL.
Wondrous.
Damn, this was good. You are in the right place!
I'd definitely buy the Blue-Ray.
TEL could be to MLP what Fifty Shades was to the Twilight franchise!
Except...a lot less cringey!
I can't wait for my sister to be confused as to why I want to see this in theaters
Hey, man, the very concept of the story is what drew me into reading in the first place. It's a really cool idea, and it's certainly not an impossible task to convert it into an original property, if you were so inclined.
Oh no. Mono's gonna get so into screenwriting she'll abandon RariTwi entirely D:
YAS RariTwi Queen 👑
I'd vote for you
To bad script-style stories are forbidden on FiMFiction.
I hope you don’t mind but I’d like to take some inspiration I got from this into a project I’m working on. Specially it being a teaser script.
Looks awesome, Mono!
I hope you do oneday take The Enchanted Library (which, uh... I still need to read) and turn it into an original novel... and more

uhhh, I guess that would depend mostly what you mean by that? Because if you mean take this and continue it, I’d have to decline since I’m planning on continuing it and finishing the script myself since it’s essentially what I envision EL would be like as an original thing! can you elaborate?

Oh no. Not doing anything with this but writing my own with the project I’m working on. Inspiration
Oh! Got it, sorry, the way you worded your initial message tripped me up a little and I thought you wanted to take the setting/characters which is why I wanted clarification lmao
I’m glad it inspired you :D

Yeah. Was trying to find the best way to word it. I already have characters n the like I’ll be using.
Turns out, reading this for the second time made it BETTER
I'll come back tomorrow and read it again.
You do have a talent for this kind of thing. Go get em!

it makes sense it's inspirational
after all it's definitely a better love story than Twilight

'Fifty Shades of Grey' was originally a 'Twilight' fanfic. Deriving original fiction from your fanfiction is a perfectly legitimate thing to do, and I hope you find some success you can enjoy~
Though if it ever does becomes something commercially available, it'll be super weird to see the familiar setting and story with different characters.
It's looking good so far my friend.
