I've never actually had anything like this before, so I felt that I should probably share it.

Now, ever since I published the first chapter to Your Human and You, people have been messaging me with ideas on how to make it better. Some were good and I used, some were good but I couldn't use, and others were just iffy.

Then, there was this guy.

This reader sent me an email. Not a private message. An email, so I could not tell who the reader was. Now that in-and-of-itself isn't the issue; I have received emails from fans before. No, it's what they wrote in the email.

...I just finished the chapter "Interlude: On the Farm", and I was just thinking. What if Applejack decided on have fun with Max in a different way, so to speak. Your humans are basically animals, and AJ is a farmer, so it stands to reason that she could practice the technique of artificial insemination. If that was the case, she would also have the means to, sorry for the crudeness, milk the male humans dry. What if she decided to use that technique rather than tend to Max personally?

I mean, she could basically strap him to the device, insert him into the artificial [REDACTED FOR REASONS] and force him to copulate with it until she got the semen she wanted. It would even be better for Max because he wouldn't have to mate with an equestrian human or a pony, and he could relieve some of his stress...

...wat?

Okay, first of all, I have no idea what you were smoking when you came up with that, but maybe you should scale it back a little. Second of all, do you know how many people would crucify me for that? Hell, most of the people in the Humans are Superior group hate the story because humans are mindless animals owned by ponies. Some of the people in the Humans in Equestria group dislike it because of all of the pony-on-human sex that is mention ("why do ponies have a fasination with bucking humans? That's just wrong"). Then there are all the readers who would be like "why would Applejack do that, she would totally be out of character, blah blah blah".

I'm the author that came up with Your Human and You, the story that you either really like, or despise; there's no middle ground. I came up with the world where humans are just animals that ponies use for sex relief. But this...

...I can't... I can't even...

It takes a lot to confuse me, but you, good sir, have left me speechless. I mean, I have no idea on how to respond to this, so I'll just leave this here for all to see.

I think the reason might be that there is a cultural exchange between /mlp/ and Fimfiction.

But seriously, if you write a story with a premise like this:

I came up with the world where humans are just animals that ponies use for sex relief.

Expect some weirdos will try to use you for their fetishes, to aim away from the legit story that you have made. Just ignore them, they will eventually get the point and go jerk off to the exact idea that you were emailed (I feel dirty knowing that exists here).

Okay, so... I can understand why you would have... reservations about this idea... But looking at it from a purely technical standpoint, some of that would actually make sense. Farmers more often than not use artificial insemination so they can produce better stock. It would be a valid argument to say AJ would have the means to do this (although, with a much different set of equipment from what was described because what the fuck...). The only way I can see this coming into the story, however, was if AJ made the suggestion, and then was shot down.

Admittedly, I haven't read the YHaY series in a bit, so I can't remember the personality quirks...

Anyways... after actually thinking it through, not sure why everyone is exploding so vociferously...

You know, I find it interesting that people don't like the concept of humans as mindless animals (then again, "Humans are Superior" group, so not that surprising...). I, on the other hand, like the idea immensely. I'm actually kind of surprised that I haven't found more stories like it.

As for the ponies attracted to humans thing, whilst I still find it an... interesting concept, I can at least understand the logic behind the writers' decisions for it. Pony, sentient. Human, sentient. 1 + 1. Simple.

...Is it bad that I can see the logic behind the person's email?

You're the only "supporter" of this idea who's sane so far. It's clear AJ still thinks that the fact humans that are sentient feels wrong, and vice versa for ponies.

But I think this idea would maybe (strong maybe)fit before she found out he was sentient, like during the bonus chapter with Mrs. Cake, she would mention the idea, Twilight would give the "What the fuck you say about my man bitch?" face, and then would NEVER be mentioned again. Reason why?
