“Pinkie Pride” — An elated Pinkie Pie is planning the biggest and best “birthiversary” party ever for Rainbow Dash, but when another party planning pony named Cheese Sandwich rides into town, plans change. Soon, everypony is so excited about Cheese Sandwich’s party that they forget about Pinkie Pie, but her pride won’t let her go down without an official “goof off,”
I think a lot of us have been waiting for this episode, announcement or not, for a long long time.

Twas a good episode.
I liked it and usually Pinkie gets on my nerves and annoys the crap out of me to no end.
Makes the second Pinkie episode that I actually liked with Party of One.
It was quite a swell episode.
It was amazing how it broke so many fourth walls.
I liked it.
A lot.
It was all right.
I have every Weird Al album (most of them in cassette. For you young'ns, that's when you had to play five songs, then take out the tape and flip it around so you could play the other five. And no instant skipping.) and it was good to see him being himself as a pony.
But man, does Rainbow take up the whole town for her birthday every year? They're going to be cleaning confetti and cheese out of the sidewalks for weeks. And Rainbow's going to need a three-day cloud nap after this.
Next season, we get Nolan North to do a guest spot. No exceptions
Not a bad episode, but not my personal favorite. But then again, I'm not too much of a fan of Pinkie PIe episodes (except for Too Many Pinkies). However, hearing Weird Al was a nice treat. All in all, good episode.
Great performance by Weird Al this episode! His appearance was hyped up to ridiculous extremes (both by and outside the network) and it totally lived up to all of it!
I find the real life scenes interesting...
I wish Cheese Sandwich could stay on the show forever. He was so awesome!

If I recall correctly, there's no tag for Caballeron or Auizhotl (I'm not sure of the spelling for that last one. Blue Aztec-inspired monkey cat thing antagonist).
Was anyone else expecting another musical episode so soon after the season 3 finale?

Well I personally liked it a lot, though I'm not sure if it's my favorite episode this season.
To be perfectly honest you'll add another new pony but you can't add a regular guard stallion to the list?!! What's wrong with this logic!!! Add a guard stallion how hard is that?!!!

Now that it's airing...
My only gripe with the episode is that it shares the whole plot structure with Rarity Takes Manehattan and Rainbow Falls. From just this fact and the synopsis it was possible to predict most of the plot for the episode, making this - for me, at least - the most predictable episode up to now.
Apart from this, I quite liked the episode. It's Pinkie Pie, and Cheese Sandwitch was also quite entertaining. It's not my favorite episode of the season, but it's the most fun, perhaps in the series as a whole.
As a footnote, I just hope the rainbow episodes for Applejack, Fluttershy, and Twilight won't use a copy-pasted plot to the extent this episode used.

Got a big kick out of the episode. Weird Al is always awesome and his character was a great rival for Pinkie.

Great episode, without a doubt.
My only gripe is that Cheese Sandwich won't be showing up much anymore, if at all.
my god proof that the mane6 are adults check those candles out, 21 rainbow is 21 or 35 (only if the candles aren't all on one side) (show staff said the age range of mane6 is 20-23.) also proof ponies have more or less the same age span as humans.
Ok, so what have we learned?
1) weird Al is capable of making me cry once in a while
2) Pinkie has three sisters, so it is possible that Octavia is related to Pinkie
3) Someone on the crew is a Weird Al fan (true, William Anderson was in the band) and found a way to put in his classic look
4) The writers should be shot for getting "make a wish" eternally stuck in my head.
5) The foal shower for the twins is just heartwarming in my head.
6) yes, this was one of the best...and I love it
I really enjoyed this episode. First, Weird Al Yankovic was epic!
His pony character really did resemble him in this episode with all the wackiness and craziness. 
Second, the songs in this episode were good, especially the last song with how Cheese Sandwich was inspired to become one of the best party ponies in Equestria.
Third, I loved this episode, because I'm a huge fan of his, Spike was involved again.
Finally, the strength of friendship prevailed as the other Mane Six apologized to Pinkie for jumping immediately on the Cheese Sandwich bandwagon as soon as he arrived.
The only disappointment I had from this episode was just that. It was just upsetting to see how the others immediately were taken in by Cheese Sandwich's party antics and carried him off celebrating while leaving Pinkie to be alone.
It showed me that the Mane Six are very easy to persuade or very easily able to abandon one of their friends if something big happens. That is just how I feel.
All in all I enjoyed this episode.
I can just see the PinkieXCheese ships now.
I knew that there would be a lot of songs, because "Weird Al." I also had a feeling that the rubber chicken would turn out to be Pinkie's key.
1782886 Ah ah ah! That was a different mane color (unless Octavia dyes it, and we haven't really seen that many ponies coloring their hair... well ok, maybe the Mayor, but she needed the look, pink just isn't serious) so that third sister is just someone else they haven't decided to name...
Anyways, episode was very interesting. I grew up listening to Weird Al due to my mom liking him, it was interesting to see him here. I like how they did his cutie mark, making it like an accordion.
It was a little odd that everypony just switched over to him leaving Pinkie in the dust (though Twilight did go and check up on her, but was scared off by the slightly crazed Pinkie
), glad to see they got their heads on straight after she gave in. I was actually expecting her mane to go flat, having half(most) of her reason of being taken away/upstaged by somepony else.
The real life bits scared me... This just proves that you cannot have more than one crazy, Sense Feeling, party-hosting, fun-loving, happiness spreading pony in one location; fourth wall might as well never have been made.....
All in all, my favorite so far of the fourth season.
Guys, think of it though. A male character! We got a male character with some background to him! Filly derpy, filly derpy everywhere! And! AAAAAND, Musicals! That work! Screw Magical Mystery Cure, and welcome to the cheese age!

Am I the only who thinks that he is a bit modeled after weird al yankovic?
Ugh, I hated this episode. It wasn't funny, the 'moral' about pride was off, and Pinkie's friends are horrible. They really didn't care about her at all until the very end when she decided to leave. Only then did they see how mean they were to her! And then Pinkie takes all the blame from them with a 'It was my pride' line. No, they are at fault and Pinkie had to fall back on her party planning roots to win them back.
I would like to hear why anyone thinks this was a good episode.

1782986 As much as I would like a whole episode that involved her family (or at least her sisters), I think that now that they got her 'key' out of the way, we won't be having another one that focuses on her
(or at least, not entirely)... Though I hope otherwise

I don't know, we are only 12 eps in and Pinkie has only two focused eps so far...there is a chance. Just like Dash has a chance for another and Rarity.
