For the Rainbooms, the Battle of the Bands was a day of triumph. They'd stopped a trio of evil sirens, saved the school again, and helped their newest friend regain the trust of Canterlot High.

For the Dazzlings, though, it was far from a day of triumph. It was a day of shattered dreams, of weakness and the beginning of hunger.
These are their stories.

In the wake of the Bugbear attack, Vinyl hears of Bon Bon's - Or, rather, Sweetie Drops's - true identity.
This, naturally, makes Vinyl curious. Could Octavia be hiding something from her?

Princess Celestia is a bastion of purity and light; when ponies see her, they see not a pony but a force, a serene being of light and happiness.
Except when she drinks.

Paintball. A game of combat and strategy; two teams are given weapons and tasked with painting the other team.
The stories many people have of these games usually contain epic battles, one-on-one duels, and tales of valor.
This is one such story.

Although this story comes after (W)Hole, it isn't directly a sequel. Just imagine that there's a Leafverse, and this is a story set in that universe.

When Twilight returned to her library after her coronation, she found out one of the... Unique features of an alicorn.
Her old body has been obliterated, turned into ash by the Elements of Harmony to use as fuel for her Ascension.

Occasionally, she visits her ashes. This is one such visit.

It's been there for as long as I can remember. Staring me in the face, a part of everything I was, everything I am. Only recently have I begun staring back at it, trying to find out what it truly is.
But it's true what they say; when you stare into the Abyss, the Abyss stares into you.

As one of Canterlot's only dubstep artists, she's a breath of fresh air in a backbiting industry of classical music.
Her best friend Octavia, however, doesn't have it so good.

The Moon rises slowly, taking its time as it brings its silver light to the night of Equestria.
But the Sun rises quickly.
Why? Nobody but the Princesses know. Some say it's because Celestia's been raising the Sun for thousands of years. Some say that it's because she has amazing magical power.
However, none hit upon the real reason.
The Sun rises quickly simply because Celestia is not a morning pony.

Two years ago, the sky exploded. A burst of bright light blinded Equestria as the heavens became pure, white radiance.
Two years and a day ago, the moon was decimated as something unknown collided with it.
Two years and two days ago, a message from the stars was sent to Equestria. Repeating for the duration of the day, the message was simple:

"Look up."

We aren't alone any more. There are things out there that we can't even comprehend.
And so we've sent our best up there, out among the stars, to find what they may.
They are the crew of the Space Shuttle Challenger. Their mission: To seek out the unknown, to protect Equestria, and to go where no pony has gone before.
