Cutie Marks. A mark of one's destiny. However, some were destined for malicious acts. Disappearances occur, with dead ponies showing up shortly after in front of a fast food establishment. Within weeks, the numbers grew, and Celestia was forced to admit the truth. A serial killer had been born into Equestria, something that should not have been possible.

After Twilight Time officially ended, Twilight decided to spend that time treating herself, once a week, before quickly working it back off. It was there, that she met a waiter, who offered profound advice, seemingly for her every predicament.

Or: Twilight goes back in time to try and fix her past.

It all began the day Celestia and Luna vanished. A mechanical portal appeared in the center of Ponyville and tried to swallow the nearest pony. Jumping into action, Twilight managed to throw a shield up around the portal, sealing it from everypony. Within moments, the portal vanished, leaving only the doorframe.

'You'd all still be living your miserable lives thinking you're "better" than everypony else if it weren't for my magical abilities! I brought you friendship! I brought you equality! I created harmony!'
'But we aren't equal. I can't fly, or cast magic!'
All it took was one idea, half formed from a pony, to bring the entire mob around. Realising their error, they looked to the wings on their back, the horn on their head. Cutie Marks were one thing, yes, but if it required a unicorn to cast it, where an Earth Pony or Pegasus could not, how could they be considered equals?
That was how it started.

This story is a sequel to A shadow of what I once was.

After being denied his reward of death, Sombra is resigned to study the Everfree magic and see if it could be useful in the future. But when a curse comes back to life after being banished, Sombra is forced into a situation he never wished for; confront his hidden desire for power, or be consumed by it.

It wasn't meant to end like this. Both knew that, though they never said it. Eyes blind to the desolation around them, they find comfort in each other, searching for a means to an end. They don't have forever to search, and they know it is only a matter of time. But they strive for tomorrow, while there is still a chance of reversal.

Luna stepped carefully through the underbrush, torch lighting the way as she used her magic to keep it lit despite the torrential downpour. Her fur was soaking wet, even the parts protected by her cloak. But she did not care. Luna had bigger worries than the rain.

For she was alone.

Twilight Sparkle, after having defeated Nightmare moon, decided to move into the library to be with her friends in Ponyville. Will those go badly? You decide!

How this Comment-Driven Adventure is going to work:
