Summer Knight

I like to write about ponies going on adventures. And crying. And kissing. Sometimes all at once.

Twilight Sparkle took Starlight Glimmer under her wing and offered to teach her the ways of friendship. Starlight was a truly precocious student, exceeding Twilight's expectations every step of the way. Now, a mere year after becoming her protege, Starlight has achieved that which took Twilight since fillyhood: She has ascended and become an alicorn princess.

However, when Starlight begins to question what this means for her dreams of an Equestria where everypony can look upon each other as equals, Twilight realizes that she may have made a grave mistake.

Three weeks after the events of Rainbow Rocks, the sirens are desperate. Without their hearts—the jewels that hold their magic—they have no power. They can't sing, can't manipulate people, and worst of all, can't feed. Their only hope is to restore their hearts, and they need to do it soon, before all three of them starve.

The problem is, they're not sure how to fix the hearts. All they've managed to figure out is that they'll need magic to do it, and magic is exactly what they don't have. Scared, starving, and completely out of options, the sirens turn to the last people who would ever want to help them, and the only ones who actually can: the Rainbooms.

The day after Nightmare Night, Princess Celestia unexpectedly visits Twilight at her library. She scolds Twilight, accusing her of forcing Luna to relive the worst time of her life by taking on the guise of Nightmare Moon.

Luna is close behind her sister, and she and Twilight have a heart-to-heart conversation wherein each comes to understand the other a bit better.

This story takes place shortly after the events of Luna Eclipsed.

Following the goof-off against Pinkie and Rainbow Dash's Birthaversary Bash, Cheese Sandwich takes a moment to reflect.

Not really a whole lot to say here, just a quick one-shot that I thought of after watching Pinkie Pride.

My response to EQD's Writer's Training Ground prompt #6: "Author, Equestria is in peril! Assemble a team of one Mane Cast member and their foil with attitude!"

It has been two and a half years since the events of Equestria Girls, and the portal to the human world is open again. Twilight receives an urgent letter from Princess Cadence asking her to come to the Crystal Empire immediately. Somepony has come through the portal, somepony who knows Twilight personally and is asking for her help to save Equestria.

When the Manehattan Bash is attacked by a being that calls itself Cacophony, Thunder Growl is the only performer to escape being captured—because he was at the bar. He races back to the Bash just in time to have his flank handed to him by the unstoppable monster.
With his bandmates missing, Thunder Growl must face demons both within and without to track down Cacophony, unravel the mystery of the creature's power and its hatred of all things musical and harmonious, and rescue the ponies it has captured.
Luckily, he will not have to do it alone. Thunder's travels soon take him to Ponyville, where a certain group of friends are more than willing to lend their assistance... whether he wants it or not.

It is the night of the Summer Sun Celebration, but not everypony is celebrating. Princess Celestia, the one upon whom the entire festival depends, has other things on her mind. This marks the one-thousandth Summer Sun Celebration since Nightmare Moon's imprisonment, and the signs have been clear that this will be the night she returns.

Far from racing to confront this threat, however, Celestia has hidden herself away in the royal palace in Canterlot. As she tells Shining Armor, she won't—she can't—fight her sister again.

This story explores Celestia's role in, and her conspicuous absence from, the struggle against Nightmare Moon as shown in Season 1, Episodes 1 and 2 of My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic.
