Ha, I find myself playing Taric most of the time, being a walking beacon of aura goodnes along with some stun trolling. It's gotten to the point that my friends gasp in shock (jokingly, of course) when I declare I'm playing Graves or Ashe.

Taric, he may not solo your team, but NEVER fight him when he has partners to buff.
You could even say that all of his geomantic powers, or in layman's terms Magic, rely on his allies presence and aid, or Friendship, to be used to their fullest power. His Magic is Friendship based, more or less. 
That aside, good start, lets see some more fun soon.

I realize it might be kind of a stretch (because frankly, I have a hard time imagining Taric and Nocturne or Cho'gath as friends), but it will show up at one point.

Just, wow... Although, I'm a bit dissappointed at Taric not being... well, pony-fied, I guess. Other than that, this is a great cross-over. Taric was actually the first LoL champion I played, so I'm very interested to see what kind of adventures (and troubles) he gets in.
