FIRST is FIRST!

Anyway, I read the whole story through in an Irish dialect, I couldn't resist. :ajsmug:

Though I have to ask - have you ever read Of Mice and Men by John Steinbeck? This is a bit like an Irish pony version of the book, especially the 'imagine what will be...' part.

Still, this is an interesting take on TCB. I was always expecting Cillian Murphy to pop up from somewhere.
But you can't just let it end here! You definitely need to expand on this . As of now, I am hooked, but it is a bit dire to let it end already. I mean, we hardly know anything about them.

This was good. Give us moar.

Also, I haven't the slightest idea who all these people are. My knowledge of Irish history (and Cromwell's actions) comes from TVTropes, and my knowledge of its mythology comes from the Nasuverse. I, and other curious ignorants like me, would love to hear about all these Carolan, Brian Boru, Saint Patrick, the Missal, and so on and so forth.

All right:

-Turlough O'Carolan was an 18th century blind harper, who wrote many Baroque compositions for... well, the harp. Today, he is widely regarded as Ireland's national composer (like Mozart for Austria and Bach or Beethoven for Germany).

-Brian Boru unified Ireland during the 11th century and is regarded as a national hero who rebuilt the country after centuries of Viking raids and defeated a rebellion by the Norse rulers of Dublin.

-Saint Patrick is, of course, the Patron Saint of Ireland who converted the country to Christianity. His feast day of March 17 is still celebrated as Ireland's national holiday. Contrary to popular belief, he never drove the snakes out of Ireland, but rather, the "snakes" refer to the Irish pagans.

-The Missal is simply a book that has all the liturgical texts necessary for a Catholic Mass.

or
'Two brothers, an earth pony and a unicorn'
either one depend on if the brothers are the two ponies or not.
