Tragicom

E

The Daleks have been The Doctor's most vicious enemies since almost his first adventure. As such, when the Time Lords offer a chance to destroy them once and for all, he can't accept fast enough.

However, on the war-torn world of Skaro, hatred and xenophobia have completely eliminated any semblance of love and tolerance, and The Doctor and company could likely be the first ponies in history to be 'exterminated'.

A ponification of one of the most beloved Doctor Who stories of all time.

My first pre-2005 story, and one of my top five classics. :pinkiehappy: Very good start.

Surprisingly I am reminded of Thundercats. When the mutants lost their advanced weapons, they were reduced to throwing rocks and spears.

Love the narrator's little comment about the hooves.

Right hoof is a very good pony name for Nyder, or maybe Left Hoof as that's the one Davros is missing.

"Bring the stallions, the mare's of no use to us."

Are you sure that's from this one and not Time and the Rani? Oh wait that's leave the girl its the man I want, that Rani, she knows what she likes.

Nice to see this is a bit more descriptive than some of your earlier stories.

The only problem I can see is keeping Davros's name as everyone else's name has been ponyised making it stand out.

Also the fact that each of the alien pony races seem to have all three tribes, it might have worked better if one side was earth ponies and the other was Pegasus or crystal ponies allowing the 'human' and time lord cast to be unicorns although there would be extra explaining about their powers then.

Also interesting that our 'Harry' equivalent isn't apparently military.

I figured that racial commentary in a Dalek story was best saved for Remembrance.

"It's an etheric beam locator," The Doctor explained, "it detects ion charged emissions. And it's made from a very firm material."

Yes. Curse of the Fatal Death. Bravo. Bravo. :moustache:

Etheric beam locator is what the device was called in this episode. I figured I might as well.
