2077172 to be frank I'm not quite sure how I feel about it as a situation, just because of spike's age etc, i realize this is about five/ten years into cannonical future, but it still grates on my mind slightly, just as something that isn't so widely accepted as bad, but still doesn't quite fit into what we socially accept

It is similar to a fourteen year old girl going out with a twenty six year old guy, or the other way around (was friends with a girl that age in that situation, was very disturbing to know about and it made me and her other friends worry about her

i don't know if it's canon, but in my story, spike is only 4 or 5 years younger then twilight and the other mane 6.

2. I thought it was Princess celestia that brought spike up till he left with twilight.
2080763 so headcanons are things that have only slight basis in the canon storyline, but in your head that version of the story makes perfect sense, for example even though it hasn't been mentioned in the series, my headcanon says spike has been brought up by twilight since he hatched, as part of her studies with Celestia.
