E

When Pinkie was cleaning her room, she stumbled upon an old record with a music style that the pink pony has not heard before. How will Pinkie's journey into this genre of music affect Ponyville?

A take on what happens when Pinkie Pie meets old-school jazz, not that nonsense that is played by Kenny G. Influenced by a PMV created by belgendave3sq.

Hmmmmmm. As a saxophonist myself, this catches my attention! Looking forward to more.

Sweet a fellow saxophonist! :twilightsmile::pinkiehappy:

Present and past tense are mixed in some places, but it's a nice slice of life story

1756757

Oh really? :pinkiegasp:

This is what I get for writing without a proofreader to help me......... :facehoof:

1756746 Aww I knew I should have choose the saxophone instead of the trombone to play in band class. Was so lonely being the only trombone player in class.

1756776

Lol......whenever I go it feels like I am the only saxophonist I know. In fact, a lot of people back in my country have no idea that there are people who play the saxophone in my country until I gave them some saxual content. :raritywink:

1756794 Ah lol, I think there was three sax players in my class, maybe four.(its been a while) What country are you from?(just curious)

1756804

I am from Malaysia, but currently studying in the US.

HIT THE PONIES WITH THE KENNY G

Got do that listening! Don't know how important it really is. :coolphoto:

1766659

Yeah, I actually learned it the hard way as well. :pinkiesad2:

That and practice.:raritywink:

Also will be updating with a new chapter by tonight.

Yeah same here, except I'm trying to juggle both classical and jazz ( a plan that is both smart and stupid ).

I have nothing but respect for you. They are so similar but yet so different from each other that breaks the mind.:derpyderp2:

i'm reading the Phil Woods Sonata right now. Awesome piece! It combines both!:pinkiehappy:

You will see soon enough. The story is already planned out in more ways than one. :raritywink:

Do my eyes or a "The Sound of Music" reference:rainbowderp: nice:twilightsmile:

@ WildStallion

Yes indeed, you found it. :moustache:

And thanks for reading.

I will recomend this to my Facebook group. They will love it! It has over 100 likes, so you will probably get quite a few more followers.:ajsmug:

(Joke) Alt. Title: Pinkie Probably Also Discovers Frank Zappa
Spaking of jazz, where did she discover it? Did Vinyl tell her?

Can't wait for them to find out it was Applejack:ajsmug::rainbowlaugh:

I know that feel, Spike.:twilightblush:

Heh, frustration from the opposite sex is always something we can always relate to.:raritywink:

Now I imagine these guys playing this song.

This story was very refreshing. Good work! :pinkiehappy:

Loved the Sound of Music reference dear
Ciao darling :raritywink:

When I saw the title of this chapter, my first thought was; Impossible. Nothing is too loud for Pinkie. Then I have to acquiesce, a bass cannon to the head is too loud for everypony, even Pinkie. Why did she have the bass cannon in her room though?
Ciao darling :raritywink:

I'm happy, you put a little Louis Armstrong in a jazz fic, thank you. Thank you for a wonderful story, there were some grammar issues and misplaced words, but for a music lover such as myself; the jazz more than made up for it. Congratulations on a spectacular story dear.
Ciao :raritywink:

Someone noticed that reference, a moustache for you! :moustache:

And typing the story without a proofreader is always a little tough, but hey I wrote this story for fun.

What an awesome story. It is unique and unlike any I have read here. Well done. I especially loved how music was the theme of the story. My imagination was blown picturing the band playing. :moustache:

One thing. In the 17th Chapter you made quite an ironic error. You called the library "Pokey Oaks" instead of "Golden Oaks" Wasn't Pokey Oaks the name of the school in the City of Townsville on the Powerpuff Girls? :rainbowlaugh:

I really enjoyed your work. I am going to have trouble getting the thoughts of Rarity playing Jessica Rabbit and singing her number out of my mind. Wow!

@Brianpony

Thanks, and I am glad that I made your mind exploded.

As for the Pokey Oaks thing....... D'oh! I always mixed the both of the up. :facehoof:

Time to reedit this lol. :rainbowlaugh:
