After some extensive research into inter-dimensional travel, pony kind had made contact with humanity. Five groups of over 50 ponies each had traveled from the waygates on Equestria into Earth. While three of the elected "Equine-compounds" were erected in America, the two others found settlement in the UK and Russia for diversity in cultural research.
The political goal of both races were to have the ponies teach harmony to humanity, and help them to overlook the political, economic, and social differences that had caused such strife and hate between not only races and creeds, but cultures and personal choices; as the equine's themselves had done.
After years of profound political disunity as well as social, America has fallen into a depression that far exceeded the catastrophic "Great Depression" of the 1940's.
It has been four years since the waygates had been opened and the contact between the two races had been officially made. In that short of a time, have the Equestrians shown enough to the humans that they may pull together in this time of economic hard ship? Only time will tell.
(And by that, I mean in what ever mood I am; I will bring a nuclear winter, or I will give salvation... I haven't decided yet.)

1467964 Wish I could tell ya, I only deleted on comment on here, a spam for some stupid website, and not one past that. I think it was for the realistic angle of how the economy and world is heading? Honestly, I have no clue.
I wanna say it was my writing, but usually you'll have that twenty paragraph comment complaining about it. But, I got nothing.
Speaking as one of the people who disliked your story, I disliked it because of these lines.

This line implies that the ponies are superior to the humans. This is enough to tick off a lot of people due to the anti-human implication. I, quite simply, hate stories that are anti-human. Much like Avatar, humans are presented as savages, and not the more benevolent race we really are. To be brutally honest, FimFiction does not need anymore stories like that.
Best way to fix this? Instead of ponies saving and teaching humanity because they're so much better, have both groups help one another. They teach us harmony, we teach them bravery, diversity, valor, strength. Something.
Secondly, I find the idea that an economic problem exceeding the Great Depression as unrealistic. There are procedures to prevent this, and it just pushes my suspension of disbelief too far. I'll believe a human and pony can have a child before I believe this.
And finally, lower case titles bother me and there's a break in your 'political goal of both races' paragraph.

It's only a matter of time until the world loses faith in our currency, and with consumer confidence running our dollar since it's back by nothing but debt. Once the other countries of the world call us on the paper money we use due to over printing and our fractional reserve banking practices, (All true and all easy to find if researched) the consequences well be catastrophic economically.
Our procedure to ensure that we don't "fall back into the Great Recession" Is for the Federal Reserve to prop up the bond market by printing money to buy mortgage backed bonds and for people to use equity form their homes to spend money...

Really, I think I could read a story that had a greater depression, as extreme as I find it. Really, that's just a minor tick compared to the anti-human implication.
I really don't like misanthropic stories, and many people share that hate. Maybe if you changed that, you wouldn't have so many dislikes.
