This was inspired by a prompt generated by a story idea generator i’ve been working on. The prompt in question was “Write a gothic species swap story about Sweetie Belle with themes of autonomy and tragedy. For an optional challenge, try incorporating music.” I don’t think I stuck particularly well at all to the prompt, but the idea was moreso to inspire rather than create constraints.
Consider this an alternate take on a sweetiebot story with a splash of raritwi.

Ok, to start with, I want to point out that when someone shows up talking about ways THEY think MAYBE THEY would rewrite a story if it was THEIRS...the best reaction is not to take that very seriously.
But I wonder if the end of chapter 1 would work better as a/the story's ending?
Anyway, this is a lovely idea imho.
I really love your descriptions in the first chapter, that paired with the cover art creates a beautiful image in my mind. Second chapter sadly didn't do much for me but I'm not much of a raritwi shipper anyways :p Thanks for the short story, it was pretty enjoyable.
