i wondered if this was a reference to the wheel of dharma but that has eight spokes? is that right?
yeah dating apps suck huh
ahaha, oh the possibilities that a species of sapient ponies brings! (and makes relevant the earlier comment on her being Celestia’s size, which would be necessary for this)
oof! sapient ponies that are as susceptible as earth horses to fatal physical injuries makes tragedy far too easy to come by :(
love this silent background worldbuilding hinting at how the afterlife works here
so true they do lack that
hoowee
augh, i just love this end!
a wonderful and heartbreaking (also simultaneously heart-healing?) look at a human/pony relationship where the pony is truly equine in their physical characteristics. just a brilliantly done xenoromance, thank you for writing!

Yes, the traditional wheel of dharma has 8 spokes. I don't remember why I picked 7 for her mark. Perhaps to match her cart?
That's probably my best literary strength, or at least my most consistent.
As we've discussed elsewhere, human/horse interactions are one of my favorite areas of exploration. Some days, I feel that including humans is a subconscious reminder to keep my ponies equine. It's far too easy to write a story with humans who sometimes remember they have manes and hooves if you're not careful. One of my #1 complaints about the (post-2010 state, at least) MLP franchise as a whole, really.
If I had better discipline about sticking to my writing plans in October, this story would have been a series of letters passed between Charlie, Wintergreen, Terramar, and Pipsqueak cataloging various events in their lives. This letter here would be near or at the end. However, I feel like my procrastination-inspired scope limitation resulted in a far more focused story. The main thing that I now think the additional letters would have added is providing the reader examples of other characters caring about Wintergreen, the equine OC, bringing some off-page romance on-screen.
