Monsters, forbidden magic, and ancient secrets better left forgotten litter the world, the detritus of terrible wars from dark years long before the founding of Equestria. However, when Rainbow Dash crash-lands in a long-abandoned shrine deep within the Everfree forest she stumbles across secrets that should have remained buried, and the mysterious 'Order'.

Rainbow Dash must now deal with the consequences of her actions and mistakes, while the Order's secret war looms overhead and threatens the peace Equestria has enjoyed for a thousand years.

This story takes place near the end of Season 3, but before Discord's reformation.
