So I read it twice the story for it is interesting I like the world building. It’s like a mixture of a whole bunch of different cultures from history with some unusual twist. I was debating whether I should call her Seabreeze or Seascape at the beginning before remembering that there's already a Seabreeze. That would have been confusing. I guess I missed one.
Big trouble at this point is which way is the story going given Short Stack being trained to satisfy an adult dragon, likely through intermediate dragon covers the extremely rare masochist option, and if Griffons are following feline variations of trauma induced ovulations and any associated physiological effects.

Don’t you love it when a plan comes together
Despite this story being called Desperate Measures and having the mature, sex, non-con, and tragedy tags, I love how hopeful it is. Things obviously suck pretty bad, but it's not torture porn like one might expect judging by the name and tags. Happiness is always within reach, even if the route there is rocky and uncertain.
If Jack had ended up out of it, the least problematic thing Guin couldve done is talked with her two freinds and Short Stack wouldve talked to her husband about Jack and things might have happened?
Just depends on how much Jack and Guin affects the dragons buisiness Hoard?
Would be hilarious if the social worker is typecast Tempest.

Jack isn't really all that important to the mill operation. His main job is to make sure that the cap is properly aligned with the vane, and to apply the brake if it's not. on low-wind days, he may have to hook up the main wheel and drive it himself, but for the most part, he's just there to make sure everyone else can do their job more effectively. All of the jobs can be done without him, it's just going to be less productive without someone to make sure everything is moving as it should and adjusting everything to make it as smooth as possible.
Everyone still does their jobs when he's not there, but they make fifteen percent more product for an eight percent cost increase. He's valuable to the company at that particular mill, but also replaceable.
Aw. Sad to see the story end, but glad to see it completed.
Jacks got good income if he can keep up with his mechanics, especially if Guin helps. Female mechanics have a better chance of getting more tips?

It was actually just a broken axle. He still works at the mill, the cart just needed a few small repairs. Neither is a mechanic.
That is where Kurt is looking to apprentice, though. He has some of the tools in his room, and I'm sure I mentioned them at one point.
No planned continuation at this time, but I suppose we'll see. I can think of a few scenarios with Guin having to bargain with Short stack's husband, or a spin-off with Kurt and Seascape building up their relationship. Or hell, there's a plan set up for Kurt and Jenny to learn about sex. Having Jack suddenly indisposed would force Guin to teach him, and she might just have a hard enough time that she has to show him what to do with examples. But no, no such sequel plans exist at this time.
