I was informed today that I am being removed from my home.

My family has been renting this hovel for more than fifteen years. We've been model tenants, according to both the owner and the maintenance crew. Usually, if there's a problem, we would fix it ourselves, patching up holes in the wall, replacing large appliances, installing gutters... We were even nice enough to help them out from time to time, when we could.

We were informed this morning that we have to vacate by May 31st.

The weather is cooling down out of the thirties and into the twenties, there's pumpkin spice everywhere (but I still have to make my own cider, which is fine because I always do it better anyway), and there's a whole bunch of horror-related things flitting about.
