I will admit that is very Discord, but we still run into the problem of How.. especially since, of the group, Mane6, Mane5, and Starlight(with possibly Sprout) only the gen4s could really hope to actually do anything, the Mane6 have the 'Rainbow Power' which is a McGuffin that would likely give them enough power to actually damage, and possibly not die in a single glance, a god, Starlight managed to hold her own against an alicorn, even if a young one, and is very good at modifying/making new spells.

Of the gen5s.... they have had magic for... less than a month? and with magic being gone for a long time, Sunny and Izzy will only have 'basic magic laser' to go with, since they seem to have an instictual ability to use their magics... but of said gen5s, only Sprout and Hitch have any training for fights, being law enforcement..... and that was with no magic, and tech...tech which didn't come back in time with them. Zipp can at least try and be a distraction, having put more work into flying even before magic returned... but Pipp? she is WAY out of her element here

We must remember, these guys are NOT trained, they are NOT adventurers from D&D, the Mane6 at least have some experience fighting big bads...but this is a GOD, capital G God...who can destroy every living thing on the planet, and managed to get 12 other Gods to give up their power and become mortal.... But even looking past that... it was 'a bunch of attacks' that really killed the story for me, you didn't even bother trying to describe the scene, either because you also didn't know how they'd fight an actual God, or laziness....in one case, how can your readers envision the fight if you can't? and in the other...well, that's just bad writing

Yeah admittedly again, I need to get better at actually writing out boss fights in more detail. Thankfully, there will be plenty of practice for that in the sequel even if not right away as there's already a hint for a future boss fight right in the prologue.
