I have to admit, based solely on the premise, I didn't think this was going to be very good. I was pleasantly surprised to find out that this was actually a pretty good little story. You managed to make your premise work believably, you displayed a good understanding of characterization, and left it just unsatisfying enough to make the reader want to see more. It might be a guilty pleasure for me, but I definitely wouldn't mind if I got to read a bit more of this.
