Well, I guess it would start by Fluttershy and Discord doing something not so dangerous, such as doing things at the animal sacntuary but Discord has an accident and hits his head. When he gets up, he´s confused and asks if he´s seeing an angel. Fluttershy would blush and say oh Discord, but then he would ask who´s Discord, making Fluttershy enter in panic.
Fluttershy asks her friends, Big Mac and Spike for advice and together they make him remember who he is. But it´s going to be a challenge telling him what he did in the past, as the draconequus is very innocent and sweet just like a child (though having that touch of mischievousness that makes him so special).
Once Fluttershy tells him that, Discord has a panic attack and hides, thinking that he´s a monster but Fluttershy reminds him that he was misguided and that he changed his ways and learned so much, and he had friends who love him, her being the first. That´s when Discord remembers everything.

Maybe after playing another chaotic prank on Twilight while on a picnic with friends Discord suffers a accidental blow to the head while laughing about the joke, the others rush to see if he's all right Fluttershy is especially worried when he wakes he sees her hovering over him like you said about him seeing an angel, she would ask are you okay Discord to which he would say "Who's Discord? That's a strange name'
And Rainbow Dash would say "well duh of course it's strange because you're all about strange, Discord's your name." And he says really? Chuckles that is strange he ask Fluttershy what her name is, to which she says while starting to worry I'm Fluttershy don't you remember? He shakes his head no
After the theme song
The gang take him Princess Celestia that Discord has lost his memory she suggests he stay with Fluttershy since they're so close and do her, Twilight, and the others especially Spike and Big Mac to help jog his memory which will be challenging because how are they gonna tell him that he once was the evil Spirit of Chaos and Disharmony who transformed all of Equestria into his own playground of chaos twice before being turned to stone? He sees himself in castle windows Celestia tells him that they used to be enemies a thousand years ago I came up with a running joke where Discord kept calling everyone the wrong names like in Hey Arnold, like Fluttershy is Buttershy, Flutterpie, or Shutterfly to which she doesn't mind, and he innocently calls Celestia and Luna Grandma Rainbow hair and Nana Starmane! To their quiet annoyance and Twilight's chargin 😂 get it! You know because she knew him a thousand years ago!?

Yeah I'd like to think that if that happens Discord would be like an innocent little kid confused yet amazed with everything and everypony around him kinda like Cotton candy Garnet in Steven Universe the movie, he'd probably be amazed with his powers too. Yeah and she starts taking care of Discord and he starts to feel more comfortable and happy around her, grateful for her kindness then Twilight and the others come over and apologize to Discord and for their behavior realizing they should've been trying to get his memories back instead of trying to change him or make him do stuff with his magic for them and they make it up to him, everything is fine until another accident happens Discord gets his memory back to the happiness of Fluttershy and even though he's back to his chaotic crazy, self the gang are just fine with that, Celestia says it's good to have you back again Discord
And he says it's great to be back Grandma Rainbow!
