Princess Celestia has everything she has ever wanted for a thousand years. Nightmare Moon is gone, Princess Luna has returned to her, so why does Luna remain distant from her? Has Celestia changed in a thousand years?
Got into ponies again during quarantine and decided to actually write some fanfics instead of just reading.

Hm
I can see where Luna is coming from celestia was too perfect in the show.
Wonder what celestia is going to do?
without fault? Luna she very gluttonous just look at the amount of cake she devours daily, she lazy always dumping her work on others, and let not start on her inability to share
Poor Celestia...
Slightly confusing transition of Luna the exiled estranged alien in the present Equestria to all is well between them and they are sisters again scenario.
Or was it Celestias dream? Confusing as i said, the transition could use some work between cold Luna and frightened Celestia to the buddy buddy sisterhood moment they just shared

Fair point, Chapter 4 was the hardest for me to write (and the least polished) because I’m mainly trying to get to Chapter 5. But keep in mind that:
1. Luna gets a little shocked and softens for a bit, however throughout the chapter she still refers back to the ‘old’ Celestia and wants to find her.
2. The story is not really about Luna and Celestia’s sisterhood, but what it means to be Princess Celestia and how ruling alone for a thousand years affects her. Luna complaining about it in Chapter 1 functions largely as a plot device.
Thanks for the feedback! If you have any specific things I can change I’d love to hear!
Edit: I just changed the paragraphs where they meet so Luna is a little more distant. Hopefully that seems a little more natural.
Well that's escalate quickly.
but I like it...
really? did you REALLY have to put in a self insert oc? like damn that was hella unnecessary
I love this, this was an excellent portrayal of a possible Daybreaker scenario.
