Everypony was so happy. Who really wouldn't be during the great Summer Sun Celebration? What started off as a wonderful get together to celebrate the raising of the sun and the return of one moon princess to her older sisters side, quickly turned tragic when the Princess of Friendship herself found the princesses had gone missing again, leaving the sun and the moon standing still in the sky once more. A lone voice tells her that it knows where they are, and is more than willing to give them back to Equestria so they can control the Sun and Moon again ... For a price that is.

aside the few grammar errors I see, this fic looks promising. Definitely will stay posted for updates on this one.

This game is actually perfect for a gauntlet adventure like this. And I can see a lot of ponies putting their different abilities to use against the different Collosi.
I just hope they don't get the same treatment the original protagonist in that game got after he was finished.

I can see Fluttershy trying to talk with the more animalistic collosi. Will be interesting to see how they react when they realize what they're actually dealing with.
I am willing to believe in magical talking ponies for a story. I am willing to believe in giant beings inhabiting an ancient, forbidden land and being taken down by a lone hero with a sword, or in this case six ponies.
But the idea of a competent equine in that land, actually doing useful things to help defeat the colossi and not turning in the wrong direction at the worst possible moment? Nope, that's a leap too far for me.

I thought Twilight and company were gonna try to do this through negotiation, but as we've seen collosi are simply beings that no not how to negotiate.
It's as nice touch that you added in that, rather than having them go for the kill outright. It makes them seem more like they are, even if you have to use Dormin to break the barrier that this non lethal approach causes, despite him in the game never showing himself to the protagonist.
I'm sure he'll persuade them to use more lethal methods eventually.
I actually don't want the colossi to die! Just knocked unconscious or something? Just so that I don't want the Main Six to be forever guilt of being Murderers/Killers or even Genocidal/Xenocide( If the Original 16 Colossi, along with the extra 8/9 Unused ones are the only ones of their "Species" out their.)

Well that's the sad part of the original game, for It's the souls of the Collosi that guard the path to the protagonists goals. The only way for him to get what he desired was to kill the collosi, which in turn would destroy a statue. Only once all statues were destroyed could Dormin regain his power. As such, for there to be any progress the Collosi must be killed.
And author, I'm sorry if I'm spoiling too much of the future or otherwise. Just tell me if I should stop.

Well, it's just that I doubt that the Main Six. Especially Fluttershy, Pinkie Pie, or Rarity. Or even Twilight with her "Princess Of Friendship" status will have to be Killers, Murders, or even be Genocidal to the Poor Colossi.
As for Applejack, Rainbow Dash, or even Tempest Shadow? Maybe? But, they probably don't have the killer instinct either?!
Maybe they can be revive or something by the Elements?
