Sequels1

T

This story is a sequel to My Little Universe: Season 7

Five Years.
More than plenty of time since the connection had been made between one world of Human Beings, and another of colored-Ponies. And four years as well, since the worlds had re-connected with the world of Gemkind. All three of these worlds, in their own way, had evolved and changed in their own subtle ways, from personal lives being mended, to world-changing victories. But it was little compared to what was to happen.

The Everstorm: a spontaneous build of magical energy, gathered from multiple worlds and realms, now gathered at its peak in the wake of Earth AND Equus, all magic being removed completely. Gems all dormant, spells useless, and threats once tolerable and manageable now out of control. With magic reserves all but gone, it's a game of survival for all in the shadows of the Everstorm's passing.
It's a battle with all of nature, and Mother Nature knows no mercy. Will it be possible to survive all the challenges ahead? What threats will rise in this opportunity against those who once overpowered them? And who'll remain at the end of the changing world?

It's do or die.

Oh my god! Why?! Why Celestia?! Why not Connie II?! Blasphemy!

Is this the last story in the series?

9262605
No, no, it's still has a way to go

9262592
I did say it was gonna be someone important, I never said who … but yep, it's blasphemy XD

SEND IN THE TACTICAL ONION!!!

So if the Sirens are there...
does that mean Sunset Shimmer will show up?
In any case it will be terrible to know she can't make up with Celestia now.

You'll just have to wait to find out, now won't you?

Obvious question out of the way first: Is The Mistress your author self insert? Since you're the "God" of the MLU universe. And despite the dire circumstances, she still believes in saying hello to those whom she's seen from afar, but thinks the world of?

I also have to say....is Connie weirded out at all by Steven or herself at this point? She's 17 by this point. Already hit puberty, found some time to stay caught up with Gem stuff and keep up with school. But with some Gem DNA in her body now, has this slowed her aging process at all? Made her look young or does it affect her more basically in just keeping her body health up? Does she even need to exercise now that she has a Gem metabolism to keep her from going hungry? And what does Steven look like right now? Does he still look about 12 when he's now well over 19 at this point? Or has all those Diamond trials and being kidnapped and watching his friends die in front of him magiced his physical age up at all?

Well one thing's for certain. I bet Lapis looks exactly like she did since she respawned herself 3 years ago. Also, 2 bucks that the Mistress had some connection to the creation of Celestia and Luna.

I also have to ask, how come when Celestia released the sun, Luna lost her connection as well? Were the two of them linked?

On another note, it's nice that you're trying to keep your continuity as clear and consistent as possible as you move into this nature challenge. Reminding the audience that Sombra did drain the gems back in season 1, or pointing out that with equestrian magic mixing with gem magic, we now have a source for the oddities on earth. Hence a retcon of sorts in finally explaining these things.

And then the Lars fell dead as the heroes of Beach City again moved out to their land of ponies and monsters. Though the adventure I suspect will be grander on that side, something tells me that Earth might have something of their own soon enough.

On a final note, it's adorable that even after all this time, some of the gems still appreciate Earth culture in cute ways taking their sleepy buddies.

She does seem to be that way, doesn't she? x3

In normal context that would be something to think about … you know, if they had time xP that subject will be something to look into in Season 8, I promise. Honestly, it's held off long enough.

how come when Celestia released the sun, Luna lost her connection as well?

Celestia and Luna are sisters, and same thing can be said for the moon and sun. A similar spell to effect both sun and moon, and if that's removed, so is everything else involved. Luna and Celestia's destiny is controlling the sun and moon, and if that's removed, then how could they have a destiny for their Cutie Marks? … best I can explain it ^^;

it's nice that you're trying to keep your continuity as clear and consistent as possible as you move into this nature challenge. - we now have a source for the oddities on earth. Hence a retcon of sorts in finally explaining these things.

I'm gonna be honest with you here. You mentioned before when I talked to ya that the story's focusing more on one side of this world crossover? Well, this was why - I was trying to show how the equestrian magic is effecting Earth before actually revealing what's going on, and it takes a lot of time to get there as you've noticed. A build up to the big answer, persay.

^^

Why does it feel like you just used this story to get in on Fallout Equestria? Either way, I hope the next season gets put up soon.

9302278
It feels that way, doesn't it? X3 the next season will pick up in due time

Wait, wouldn't Luna end up ruling Equestria... you know, being the other Royal Sister?

9328195
I don't know if Equestria's willing to have Nightmare Moon be solo ruler, if you know what I mean

Why'd you choose Celestia~?
Why not Connie 2?
Wait, where is she?
My logic: Well, she is basically made of magic so...
OH GOD WHYYYY!!!!

9343764
Looks like someone's got the pieces together on her situation

So why'd you get rid of Celestia? I kinda want to see your own thoughts on that.

9262592

Hmm … well, it's a bit hard to explain in full, but there's factors to it. At first, I didn't want to actually take her out of the game, and concepts in my head actually had her being "revived" at the end of it. but I felt that this wouldn't be as realistic if I kept EVERYONE around by the end, especially with how much they were dealing with. I know it sounds silly and cruel of me, throwing realism in a fantasy world, but that was kind of the whole idea with this special - removing what makes their world magical and put them all in a sort of survival game, reminding them that the world isn't all just a storybook good guy - bad guy scenario all the time (like Earth did with the Dazzlings).

For Celestia specifically, it was more of a setup for later on rather than any personal note on the character. It's really a question of what's the most dangerous thing that could happen that will change Equestria forever, and without the fairytale fixing. Think about it: most threats had been handled by Celestia at least once before, and she's initially the force keeping Equestria in tact from the world outside (the ponies' god, persay). But with her now gone for good, Equestria's gonna have a bit more danger to deal with than it had before, and a wake-up call for the ponies that their world isn't the fairytale land many had come to think it to be (something set up actually in Season 7 with the Tindalos's thoughts on the world) - something the Crystal Gems and Elements of Harmony will have to tango with a bit more than they had in seasons before. Not gonna reveal exactly what's gonna come up, but let's just say Twilight's gonna be a VERY busy pony next season.

and BTW, didn't realize you two wanted Connie II to kick the bucket that badly. Spoiler alert - that's gonna be something to check on in future. See how she fared ...

Actually, i didn't want Connie II to kick it. I just feel her death would carry something more with Steven as he, you know, kinda watches his best friend die (just a clone, i know) and carry more emphasis on those who follow along with Steven. Even being permanently crippled can carry that weight.

9353415
Huh. Well, that's a fair point, though Steven would be troubled by anyone dying in front of him to some degree. At least I would think so.

" What're you two doing ?! GET OUT OF THERE!" the Sigbin demanded.

Wait a second.......

"We're not letting you hurt them!" Steven demanded, though the savage look did make them both step back, and when Connie almost got her foot in the nest -

I feel like......

"No! Don't hurt my children!!"

I'VE SEEN THIS BEFORE!!!! Wait a second....DOES THAT MEAN-

"Then you can have me. … Your babies mustn't starve."

I KNEW IT!!! I'VE SEEN THIS BEFORE!!! I CAN'T BELIEVE IT!!! WWWWHHHHHYYYYY!!!!!!!????
I loved that Leafie movie, but DANG IT!!! Was it full of feels! :raritycry:

I'll say this about this half of the everstorm: it's BRUTAL!!:twilightoops:

I mean, at the beginning, the first thing I see is a Land Before Time 5 vibe. That with the magic messing with all previous magic, the parasprites went back to their old ways and....boom! And so, we must leave The great valley...I mean Equestria to seek out greener pastures. Literally.

It's also of note that I can also see some elements of Home on the Range in here. What with Pinkie accidentally drawing Vultures in her delusions.

It's also something...interesting that the princesses decided to take a personal interest in protecting ponyville and canterlot over all the other big cities for this sort of mass migration. That they trusted the local governments enough to essentially take a pilgramage with the elements and the central government to save who they could.

Though the Discord element was a good chuckle. You'd think that since he knew this was coming, he'd just disappear to another planet for a few weeks and not have to deal with it at all. Maybe he's just too fond of Equus to leave it anymore.

9378800
We often forget life itself is such a brutal game in nature, especially with how most of our lives are being so sheltered. The Everstorm's here to remind everyone that life isn't always the simple storybook scenario. Especially to the magical world of ponykind
