Well this removes any ambiguity of what handy thinks of Gearing, and shows the full scale of his fear of him and to understand his dismissal and condescension of about Gearing as a person/pony and see how he stubbornly holds to his preconceptions of him without bothering to even but them in question again. I would have though that he would have made it more of a point to show that he is dangerous and unpredictable.
While, I feel Dandy's arguments were somewhat weak at first, understanding that she isn't robotic engineer or a philosopher, or much even of an education really, she can't really put up strong arguments to convince Handy otherwise, but tried her best to make of for it with feelings. Her pointing out Gearing's implants and special pitbuck was sort of getting her argument back on track, along with the fact that his responses are too natural to be artificial along with how he processes experiences, as well as the analogy of a cripple.
I would have thought Swift would have taken part more in the conversation, I think her in put could have helped to mediate between the Handy and Dandy, as well as sharing her own experiences .
God work, keep it up

Yup, and Gearing had him pegged from day 1 on it. And as far as dangerous as Gearing could potentially be, Handy's not even aware of half of the stuff Gearing has done, not even if you only factor in the time since Gearing woke up in the stable. The raiders that killed the caravanner, the slaver camp, the bandits that Gauge had sold out the mare and her daughter to save his own hide to, the one that shot Pile Driver, none of that.
Because Gearing hasn't said anything to anyone he hasn't had to talk to about it.
But, all of that aside, the 'dangerous' aspect would be a given from Handy's perspective. Because, in his mind, Gearing is an autonomous machine that he can't personally control. And that makes him a danger. Think of how bad he micromanages everything in Stable 68, even the fire suppressant system. (granted, there was more to it than what's been revealed so far, and will be brought more to light far later, but he still got used to being in control of everything.) And that's just from him thinking Gearing is a repair bot with defensive capabilities. If he really knew how dangerous Gearing was, and what his job was, he'd never have stood for a machine with that kind of job set in the stable if he couldn't control it directly. Like how he did with Sarge.
I'd had Swift remain quiet intentionally, I didn't simply forget she was there. So no worries. But my thoughts on her would be trying to see how this goes. Because she's tried talking to Handy before about Gearing, and that's had arguable and minimal success. The suddenly being referred to as a cyberpony hasn't gone past her notice, and she'll be bringing it up later with Gearing. But, if it's stupid but it works, it's not stupid.
And there's the issue that she, herself, has been having a hard time distinguishing Gearing as a pony instead of an advanced AI. The idea of a curse is simply hard to swallow. But, even so, even not really TRULY seeing him as a pegasus, she still has far more respect for him as an individual. Because of her different perspective when it comes to AI's and their potential individuality. If that makes sense?
ok yep this is a awesome story, but i have found a big problem with it,,
i have ran out of story..

Thank you! And, EEP! I'll get to cracking the whip at the monkeys on my back to get off long enough to get this next chapter up and out.

Yeah, Scarlet definitely had a hard time stomaching that situation :D And, as you may be guessing, there is far more to Sable than meets the eye. And it'll be explored more as the story progresses.
You got the reference! LOL! Yeah, Weird Al is great, and I just love throwing in little things like that here and there. Especially in titles etc. And, in this case, listening to the song after reading chapter 15, especially keeping what happened there in mind, just makes it so much worse and twisted.

Yeaaaah, that kinda broke her brain. And it's kind of one of those things where you don't really think about it until it comes up and then it entirely consumes you're mind in a "I don't get it! HOW?!" kind of way.
Bringing up a pokemon reference... A Waillord and a Skitty are in the same egg group... the mechanics are mind boggling.
And, yeah, Sable and Nahlah have been getting to know each other for a while, and have gotten along pretty well [all off camera and obviously started before the story picked up]. Both are pretty perverted and neither of them are judgemental. But this is another thing where you'll see it more prevalent as the story progresses, even with chapters that are already released as of this point.

Thanks, the next chapter is coming down the pipe, but is taking longer than I would like to complete it. I just made a blog post addressing the gap this evening. Thank you for sticking with me during the drift. 🙏 I hope the next chapter is well worth the wait.
This book is absolutely amazing I love all of the characters I only started reading a couple days ago and I’ve already caught up, it had me rolling on floor laughing with gauges “antics” I can’t wait to see what happens next

Thank you very much, welcome to the journey, I'm glad you're enjoying it thus far! Yeah, Gauge's really a GAS, mmkay? xD
I'm currently finishing up the last of 62, so hopefully you won't have to wait too much longer for the next chapter.
