They wouldn't be in canterlot then...
A very, very interesting pony ability and one that explains how they can be so trusting of others. Quite well thought out. Nice job.

Thank you. I personally like the idea because of their large eyes, so learning to read ponies' mood by looking at their eyes would be a really important and useful ability. In the end, I also figured they would be able to read humans, even if not as well as another pony.
Are mods from in Skyrim going to be used as well at any point? I can't remember the creators, but there were a few good heliomancy, hemomancy, and other good mods for it as well. I remember combining several Darkness spells with fire spells because Darkness would weaken fire resistance and had triple enchantments using dark, fire, and chaos while spamming all 3 stages of Amaterasu (it was a shout in another mod) and a black fire spell that did dark and fire. Or is the mage tree going to be abused in anyway? Modded or not? Imagine having the Atronach perk, standing in a repel undead circle, healing yourself, and shooting everything in sight and using equilibrium when necessary. Let's not forget the perk in restoration increasing spell strength against undead should Ash ever become a vampire or something else classified as such.

There won't be any mods in this. I'm sticking to what I know well so I lessen the chance of saying or doing something that is just wrong and I don't play modded Skyrim.
The skill tree does exist... In a way. There is no screen for him to put 'perks' into, but Ash can slowly unlock the perks through mastery of the schools.
So you have a hard magic system that has been softened a bit.
I will admit that I have a soft spot for OP characters but only if it is done well. That does not mean that I dislike stories where characters have to struggle to get to the top. At the end of the day I just like the struggle of both.
An OP character has obvious issues BEING and OP character, and I like watching how that character can deal with the problems because of how they are. The same can somewhat be said for the characters who must fight and toil to reach a meaningful level of accomplishment. Though, for the toiling character, you see their growth throughout the story. A zero-to-hero act is stimulating to read, after all
Nice work, keep it up.

Thank God for that!
...
Get it?
I can't help but feel vaguely threatened by Sharp Platter's name, regardless of his cooking skill. I just feel like he's going to shank me...
I'm rather delighted that you made everything so detailed. Even the magic! You told it to us even though some already know of it.
Keep up the good work!
Maybe you can help me explain magic in my story.
