Won't lie, the internal monolouging and bickering is beginning to become irksome.
Ahh, if I could thumbs up the story again, I would absolutely do so.

Thank you for the update!
I am a bit puzzled by Philip's rudeness towards Twilight. She is one of heads of the realm, she owes him nothing, and he actually hopes for her help. Actually getting to see someone of so high position so soon is a miracle of itself.
So seeing him acting so demanding and disrespectful to person who he is asking for help just did not sound for me.
That not taking into consideration that being alone in foreign land with unknown foreing customs most people would be cautious when speaking with figures of power to not insult accidentally.

It's hard to tell after just one chapter of interaction, but it seems like Philip may have the sense of humor to take the piss out of Twi just for fun. He has the dry, teasing air about him that leads me to believe that at least (one that seems mesh well with Fleetfoot's personality so far).
I'll always appreciate a musical discussion between characters as well, it gives good insight into someone's outlook. After the colorful description of her stormy flight to music a few chapters ago, I could assume that this was a particular passion of the author as well. Very good choice of songs so far by the way as well!

I do not know. It did not sound like humor to me, more like spoiled kid or bully.
That dialogue just does not sit right with me.

Well, also I wouldn't be in the best mood after waking up in the hospital after almost dying.. I'd say give him some time, eh?

Same.
The first quip about Twilight locking herself in a library is actually funny.
The snippy “Better than some” comment is just rude. Which feels like it comes out of nowhere because Phil has been a p. chill guy up to now.
And the last few chapters read like he was only told about Twlight being 'on the case' the previous day, so him being a crabby mccrabberton about someone missing an appointment the following morning which was probably arranged in a hurry, and for someone who is, effectively a head of state and presumably (as far as he knows) quite busy.
A one-day turnaround for something like that in this situation is goddamn phenomenal.
Phil's reaction here would be somewhat more understandable if a week or more had gone by before Twilight turned up.
A far better reaction would be to not be a dick to folk trying to help.
Maybe it's like that for a reason, a set-up for something else? What do I know? I am just text after all.

Diff'rent strokes. I love this stuff.
It's like reading babby's first Dune, and it's great.

I'm going to have to agree with Paul.
To put it bluntly, Philip was acting like an entitled bitch. I honestly hope Twilight stands up to him. All she has to do is show him the hospital bill (being from the United States where healthcare is not free, this would shut him the hell up).
Having said that, I'm still enjoying the story very much.
Thank you for posting.
Quite a bit different to be reading this with Fleelfoot having natural green eyes than purple, but at the same time very nice and different to see. Her internal fighting is really nice and quite enjoyable to read. And nice to see her and Philip have a good bit of small talk before grilling a princess.
Looking good so far. I think I'll keep an eye on this.

yeah things are going to get really moist soon

Depends what you mean by moist.
I explain how things are going down in a recent blog; no clop until much, much fruther into the future. This is a romantic drama first and foremost.

Paul is absolutely correct. To the point I feel that scene needs a rewrite unless it's something Philip's about to get walloped for and learn something important from. Otherwise it's pointless, and puts him in a position of power over one of the supreme authorities of this new land if she does nothing to counter it, as he made a verbal attack and gets away with it. It can't even be swept under the rug of him being a victim of a random happenstance in this case because he's been proven lucid and capable of holding conversation intelligently and politely, and that he understands Twilight's position.
He's LUCKY that this is Equestria, otherwise from his perspective it shouldn't be insane to believe they might start ripping his nails out and slow-boiling him in oil. He's being taken care of at the behest of the Crown, paid for by the Crown, while the Crown puts aside other duties to try and figure out how to help him. It sounds like Twilight's been researching for half a week nonstop for him and when she finally meets him he acts like she's a bitch for not immediately coming to see him the moment he was admitted. That's patently ridiculous and gives me an instant dislike for a character I learned to enjoy from the first story. Unless this is something addressed in-story, it's just a senseless insert and feels like a problem in the writing, not just a foible of the character.
Okay from looking here and there I got the idea that this story might be slightly about difficult feelings but also somehow just right. I wanted to say heartwarming and funny but I don't think I can really judge it yet. I just get the feeling that they maybe actually have a slow paced romance going on even if I'm sure after really reading the first chapter it will annoy me to wait till we reach the point where the talk actually happens.
Depending on how the first chapter is written it will be worse or better.
I can respect that. If she says that she likes country, however, I'll have a few harsh words to share, lol.
Dangit, now I'm conflicted. Progressive rock is the bees knees, but she likes country, tsk tsk.

Everyone hates that word. Moist. Blech.
