Hey, I love Jesus and I like ponies. Is there really anything more to life than that? ^_^

It is an interesting read. Although I know the first one, which is The Charge of the Light Brigade, Lord Alfred Tennyson, I don't know the others.

Thank you! No offense, I may eventually post a list, but for now I'd like to leave it as a challenge to other readers to see if they can guess, if they want to that is. :ajsmug:

:moustache: More
:duck: please
:pinkiegasp: or I might just sneeze
:ajbemused: confetti all over
:twilightblush: it's an art
:flutterrage: Just don't ever see her fart!
:rainbowlaugh: you didn't
:trollestia: That's my job...

Poetry isn't usually my bag, but this is fun. Congrats on your first story!

...now get thee some cover art! :derpytongue2:

Honestly, I just couldn't figure out what picture would go with this, plus it was a first time, hopefully the readers will let this ride just this once? :fluttercry:

Ha, ha, ha, those are cute! Thanks for putting them up.

This was a nice read.

I've always wanted to write something like this! Must say, very happy to read it. Closest I got was a ponified WW1 poet in a short story of mine. Didn't do too well.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it. :pinkiehappy:

Well, no pony writes with the same style, so it's no biggie if what you create is different that what I or any other artist creates. I like your work, glad that you are enjoying mine. :yay:

This was a fun read.
I suspect I would have enjoyed it more if I was English, but still, this was time well spent:eeyup:

Hi there, and thank you, I'm happy that you enjoyed it. :pinkiehappy:

I think it’s a shame there are not more poems on this site, especially those of such high quality. All flowed really nicely with a steady rhythm and fit each of the characters snugly, but without sounding forced.

Now I’m curious, what were the original poems? Since I’ve read just a few untranslated pieces of English and American poetry, there is just a sliver of a chance that I’ll be acquainted with any of these :twilightsheepish:

Right, I did say something about posting the names of the originals didn't I? Okay, here goes.

The Charge of the Light Brigade - Tennyson (Pinkie Pie) :pinkiehappy:
The Village Blacksmith - Longfellow (Apple Jack) :ajsmug:
Trees - Kilmer (Twilight Sparkle)
Ruby - Emerson (Spike) :moustache:
Heart of Oak - Boyce/Garrick (The Cutie Mark Crusaders) :applecry::scootangel::unsuresweetie:
Ain't She Sweet - Ager/Yellen (Rarity) :raritystarry:
Ode to Joy - Beethoven/Schiller (Rainbow Dash) :rainbowwild:
Cliffs of Dooneen - Trad. Irish song (Flutter Shy) :yay:

Thanks a lot, I’ll make sure to read carefully through every one of these!
Also, thank you for the follow! :yay:
