After waking up from being unconcious, Dr. Spiral Swirl looks around to find she's no longer in her office but in a forest where nothing looks familiar. Armed with her pocket watch and her Hypno Magic, she comes across two human children who (wouldn't you know it) have an intrigue for hypnosis.

Will the hypnotic doctor exploit her power over the two children and make them obedient to her for her time in the new land or will she see something more than just potential hypno slaves? How will she handle surving in a different world?

(This is a fanfic that is set in an alternate future timeline following the events of Rathbane's Bad Therapy)

(Special thanks to Rathbane for letting me use his OC Spiral Swirl for this)

Great job you wrote Spiral Swirl really well. Loved the little clash of cultures bits. Heh lucky Spiral Swirl stumbling across kids with an interest in hypnosis.
The hypnosis and induction were nicely done.

Glad you're enjoying it so far. And thanks for the compliments! I spent a good week perfecting the writing structure for this chapter after I wrote it to ensure it was in the best reading condition possible.

I'll probably upload a new chapter every few days or once a week depending on how busy I am. But you can definitely expect more to happen in this story.

Also on a side note, thanks again for letting me use Spiral Swirl for this story!

This is a good start. I kind of wish there was more commands given, more molding of the personalities of her new servants, but I guess more could come later on. Heck, I kind of wish the hypnosis went much further in general, both the induction, and the trance. They are so willing to be hypnotized though that they fell right into it, with no resistance, so I guess I shouldn't be surprised.

I'm curious to see where this will go with Swirl not having a vendetta driving her in this place. It was nice that she is offering the children a chance to help shape others, they'll become good apprentices yet, I think. Or at the very least, offer unique advice only humans might think up or know. Assuming she goes with casual corruption of them instead of actively altering them, which is still possible.

Well there's only one way to find out and that's to wait for the next set of chapters.

I have to admit I like this set up so far. Hopefully the kids curiosity of hypnosis leads to more hypnosis being used on them, or Swirl's want of slaves gets more of that lovely state.

I'm hoping for a reformation for Spiral.

Honestly, what did she expect the answer to that question to be to normal people? They'd have to be modified to want to be hypnotic slaves. So the choice is to continue and make such edits, or to change her approach and limit it to stuff with their consent, making small alterations along the way, slowly changing their way of thinking to want to be hypnotized and adjusted more. There will probably be limits to how far she can reasonably go with the latter method, but it would help make them not feel betrayed without hard-altering their personality and effectively destroying who they were in the process.

An interesting way for Swirl to get a notice on her morals, but not exactly one (I think) that could make her change her ways. What she has however is a good groundwork to do some slow brainwashing. Still excited to see more though. :pinkiehappy:

Nice to see some character development for Spiral!

Using hypnosis to help the kids eat their veggies? I'm fine with that!

I can't help but feel like somepony missed the obvious connection there - after a session of memory play, someone complains about knowing something too well, and no-one suggests a way they could experience it afresh?

I'm afraid I don't understand what you mean. Could you elaborate?

9120508
If Spiral Swirl were to hypnotise Joey to (temporarily) forget the content of the movie, he could watch it again as though it were his first time watching it. It's a fairly common option for memory play since, for most people, for most pieces of fiction, the memory of what's in it is separate from the rest of their life, and the person forgetting gets a definite positive benefit (beyond any "isn't hypnosis great").

Ahh...I see what you mean now. I didn't even think of that when I was writing, but it sounds like a pretty good idea. Thanks for the creative input!

I have to say this story is rather creative with E-rated hypnosis activities. Spiral is really exploring various things to do with the kids without it spilling into a danger zone nor making permanent edits.

Wow! Revenge for what?

9167508
You could say it's payback over sibling rivarly. But stay tuned to find out what Maddie makes her brother do.

Emm, quick question. But is this story still continuing? I hope it does, since I’m quite the fan of this. You haven’t uploaded anything for the past month, and honestly, I’m quite scared that you forgot about this.

Good story by the way. Keep it up!

I apologize for not updating the story for several months, but several things have gotten in the way. I've been working full time with little to no free time and the little free time I do have I spend on other projects. I'm also suffering with a bit of writer's block at the moment so until I find some good ideas to work with, the rest of the story will be postponed.

I'm glad you're enjoying the story so far. When I have more ideas to work with, I'll continue writing.

To quote that one song from Mary Poppins Returns,

"A cover is not the book, so open it up and take a look. Cause' under the covers one discovers that the king may be a crook.

Chapter titles are like signs and if you read between the lines, you'll find your first impression was mistook.

For a cover is nice, but a cover is not the book."

Damn, that was a sad chapter

Y’know...that ending got some deep meaning there.

I'm glad this story is still being updated, I have a soft spot for a character who can use hypnosis in such varied ways without it being sexual in nature.

Sadly, it hasn't been easy writing up new chapters. Between working full time and having creative writer's block more often than naught, I'm lucky to even have the drive to continue with this fanfic. But, it's nice to see people who still enjoy it.

I'm loving this so far... it's a relaxing read so far but it's also interesting to slowly learn about the characters involved. I need to work on that for my stories. It would be hilarious if Spiral Swirl somehow finds a way back to Equestria that ends up being a man made portal or an ancient Equestrian portal that use to link the worlds together in a secret forgotten history of the friendship between both worlds but sadly was severed when the humans broke the trust between them due to science and so forth. But it would be hilarious when she finds the portal back to her world that when she finally lands back in Equestria that portal opens up right in the throne room of Celestia and Luna's castle in Canterlot!! That would be funny to read.... I can just picture the scene now. Celestia's just going through her list of things to do when suddenly "POOF!" Spiral jumps out of nowhere on the red carpet rug ten feet away from her and the 2 guards standing with her! lol. Nice story so far though!

Oh I loved how you described the whole hypnosis session almost like a guided meditated visualisation session as well! I loved the giant mattress, the purple hue sky, the crystal shrine description and the sudden appearance of the 6 doors.

Oh wow... this chapter went from a harmless time of enjoyable fun with the human video games, to helping a young girl overcome her nerves...... Wish I could be hypnotised to sing louder when needed and to remove my anxiety that causes mild panic attacks (mostly at night). If hypnosis truely worked like it does in the story, imagine how many miracles would take place daily because of it?!

Uh-oh, sounds like perhaps a possession?? This chapter went from 0 to 100 suddenly! Interesting!

Why did you have to leave it on a cliff hanger like that?! Would be interesting to see what happens next!

I love how they react to seeing spirals in their eyes.

Love the story, love the way you describe the hypnosis. So I thought of a sequel where Spiral Swirl is back in Equestria and starting a legitimate hypnotherapy practice, but while she’s bird watching a human boy arrives and doesn’t know how he got there. She takes him in and finds he has an interest in hypnosis. Interested in hearing more?

10998705
Sure, would love to hear more. Though I already have ideas for how this story will end and what follows up, I wouldn't mind in seeing what you have in mind.

10999226
So a boy a little older than Joey and Maddie somehow arrives in Equestria and meets Spiral Swirl in the woods, and they’re caught in a storm. She takes the boy in and tries to find out how he got there, of course he doesn’t know. She finds he has an interest in hypnosis. She swears on her pocket watch that she will help him get home, but also hypnotizes him for the evening and has him do some fun things.

Later she finds that a portal to his world opened in a strange phenomenon, but it won’t open again for months, so she lets him be her ward/assistant until then. She uses him to pet her patients during sessions to help them relax.

Some more specific ideas came to mind along with it but that’s the main story.

10999263
I see. Well it does sound interesting and could make for a potential follow up for Spiral Swirl's Encounter. But it might be best to try and finish this fanfic first before thinking of sequels. When it gets done, I'm not sure as I'm currently taking a break from writing it.

10999796
Yup I totally get that. I just got some ideas and wanted to lay them out. Mind if I send you some by PM? Of course everything is E-rated.

Excellent story so far! I'm very much looking forward to what this mysterious trance Spiral goes into is all about... and more wholesome hypnosis bits too.

My current theory about Spiral's trance is that her mother hypnotized her to do that sort of thing... but then again she's not a hypnotist, so... hmmm...
