Five days after Cloudy Quartz Pie's most worrisome child leaves the Rock Farm to make her way in the world, the phone rings. You thought it was difficult dealing with Pinkie Pie in person? Try dealing with her explosive personality concentrated into only sound waves...

As mother and daughter converse, feelings will be shared, stories will be told, and most importantly questions will be answered...well, the important ones anyway.

Hoo-ray! A Pie family story! So rare! I'll read this gem later.

Solid 10/10! Thanks for sharing!

"Five days, and she hadn’t called to say she’d be coming home after accidentally blowing up the town hall with her party cannon."-That was probably the next call.

I like the dynamic between Pinkie and her mom.

This was very nice. I really like your characterization of Mrs. Pie, it felt quite real and provided some good insight into both her and into Pinkie too.

Oh, thank you so much DragonGeek! I thought that part sounded weird. Writing Cloud hast proven difficult. :) I'll fix it soon.

dis pretty gud meng, id like another

I don't want to seem nitpicky, but you might want to take the -ed off of "quicly thought of a way to reworded her question."

I'd love to read another, the difference between cloudy and Pinkie is amusing

Ri2

Well, this was great! I feel so sorry for Cloudy, having to deal with all that.

Also it's spelled 'foal' not 'foul.'

Sometimes Cloud wished Pinkie would try being a little less sudden—the news had nearly caused her to choke on her soup, and it had taken Maud a few minutes of back pounding to resuscitate her.

And Cloudy a few weeks to heal the cracked ribs Maud had given her.

Interesting start. Few minor corrections, but otherwise very good.

Her own mother might have assumed the very same if she hadn’t carried her springing form for nine months and given birth to her.

I believe the gestation period for horses and ponies is eleven months.

“Now, I shouldest like to inquire a few things of thou before giving thee liberty to vocalize whatever fancies enter thy mind, is that clear?”

Shouldst

The poor library had been ransacked and poor Marble had been checked on and ordered to stay close far more many times then she needed as her parents hunted for their missing daughter in a desperate frenzy.

Remove "many"

It required a certain nack that Cloud had never possessed, and a certain love she couldn’t develop.

Knack

Despite her best efforts, she ended up getting some stuck to bottom of her hooves anyway,

Missed the "the"

Loving this story so far. It's marked complete, but I do hope there's more to come.

Thanks! Those little ones are always hard to catch!

Hahahaawwww....seriously, it started funny then there was the emotional gutpunch at the end. Nice work!

It'd be interesting to see how Cloudy handles her other daughters.

Cloudy:Pie Family.

Maud: Hi, Mom.

Cloudy: Uh-oh, what has happened to make thee sound so upset?

Maud: My exams weren't so great.

Cloudy: Calm thyself, it can't be so bad.

This was a cute read. I did find a few minor mistakes to point out to improve things.

You know, I think I surprised serval ponies today trying to find a phone to use!

Her own mother might have assumed the very same if she hadn’t carried her springing form for nine months and given birth to her.

Nine months is a human thing. Ponies aren't humans. You may want to be a bit more ambiguous about the amount of time.

For all the solid farming mare knew, Igneous’ mother might had been a circus pony before she put down roots on the farm…

The biggest and possibly the most heart wrenching surprise their daughter had ever given them had

heart-wrenching

“She had a lot of clothe floating around her head—because she’s a unicorn, not because she bought floating fabric.

Now for the second chapter...

“For Spice Muffin’s new foul this approaching winter.”

I suppose the new foul must imagine a heart on, as thou hast.”

Thank you! I think it should read better now. :)

Lol, I should have known pinkie was bouncing even before she was born.

Reading for the second time :) Just as heartwarming as the first.
