Maybe I'll revisit this one.
The logical part of my brain still has a hard time processing a "frozen" sun or moon. If Nightmare Moon or Dayberaker froze the moon or sun over Equestria, wouldn't that make it the opposite on the other side of the world? And wouldn't the extreme temperature differences cause havoc on wind patterns and such like hot Jupiters?
The horror! The horror!
Still a good backdrop to a story which I would have enjoyed more if there were more chapters.

Well, would probably happen in the real world, but don't forget that in Equestria the weather is controlled by pegasi. Even ignoring that, Celestia doesn't move the sun at night, it just sits there on the other side of the world.
I guess I didn't really think about that until now.
