It's mostly the fetish porn, and maybe lack of exposure. Every clopfic gets at least like four immediate downvotes, plus a few more if it's rape or anthro or some niche fetish. Canon characters might have attracted a few more appreciative eyes, but I don't think it would have avoided the negativity.
Your ratio isn't bad for only a single night from a non-established clop author, to be honest. I thought it was put together pretty well, I appreciated the level of serious/shameless you hit with the tone. I'd look forward to more, as would about a dozen other people, apparently.

Thank you for that, since I wasn't sure what was right or wrong with the piece of fiction. I admit, I'm not up to the times with how people perceive things on this site, so it was a shot in the dark for this story.

Yeah... Anthro, clop, non-con, it'll attract the auto down votes hard. Don't abandon it based on that, especially since this reads like an intro more.
